« This cabin is in a beautiful location at the top of a hill. It’s best to give yourself a little time to get up the winding roads, especially if there’s fog. When we arrived, we were met by our host who is very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our conversation with him. He is a big LOTR fan so we had a fun time talking about filming locations and personal stories he had. « This is a lovely and well equipped cottage though was a little chilly the night with a heavy frost (until we located the heater!) It was also a bit confusing to locate, as it is up several driveways, past other houses, but we got there without too much trouble! »

« Our group felt so cozy and homey at Fantail cottage while we explored nearby Hamilton and Hobbiton. Fiona was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped and the provided milk, coffee, hot chocolate, and cereals was a nice touch. Everyones favorite part is that the shower was hot with really good water pressure! We also really enjoyed the chickens (chooks) and they seemed to like our food scraps just as much. Thank you for a lovely stay :) »
