As this original unit, Gull House, was listed as 3 bedroom and was only 2 and a loft, Rainbow Ridge let us change to Johnson Suite #2. This unit was really nice and we were happy to have what we signed up for and pay the difference. However, after checking in, communication was beyond unacceptable. We were expected to troubleshoot the heat system (would not go above 62) and smoke alarm (beeped low battery at 2am) Calls were not returned and office was closed when stated it would be open.2 nights of cold before heaters were brought which did not work in the bedroom. Connie just dropped off a battery (for us to install) that did not solve the problem and we figured out ourselves that we had to turn off the breaker on the smoke alarm (safety issue). When asked about kindling and fire starter, we were told we had to provide that. Really? In past Vrbo rentals there were after hour numbers to call for such things and a handyman would fix any problems. I understand thermostats and appliances can malfunction and but the fact we were ignored and had to stress was what made this a bad experience. I would like the owner of to know about this as Rainbow Ridge really treated us poorly. I have more specific details, such as call logs, if needed.
