Even a month later, I’m still extremely frustrated by how this booking was handled leading up to our stay.Despite clear documentation that check-in instructions would be provided three days prior to arrival, it took multiple follow-ups to receive any information at all. Each message was met with excuses: “Sending now,” “The link is broken,” “We’ll PDF and send ASAP,” etc. In reality, we received nothing until we were literally standing at the front door in the hot sun — and only because I was able to connect with the local host via WhatsApp.For three days before traveling, I was anxious that my group of 12 might arrive with no access to the property. This was completely avoidable and unacceptable for a professional rental.Once on the island, the local host was responsive but there were several issues during our stay:Broken ShowersOut of six bathrooms, five had broken shower heads. While I understand salt air can damage fixtures in oceanfront properties, the issue wasn’t cosmetic — water sprayed throughout the bathrooms, soaking floors, towels, and personal belongings.No Replacement TowelsWe requested additional dry towels due to the shower issues but were not provided any. We had to dry ourselves with wet towels. The washer/dryer is a combined unit and takes approximately 8 hours to dry a single load — something we learned the hard way.Housekeeping ConfusionWhen we asked about housekeeping, we were told service would occur Thursday and Sunday.
