I can't say enough good things about this beautiful cabin and bunk house. The setting was peaceful and scenic with plenty of privacy. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated with all the modern comforts you'd want or need while on vacation. The highlight was the gorgeous lake, kayaks and paddle board but the game room was a close second. It was fully stocked with games, fuse ball, shuffleboard, card table and a large screen T.V. for movies after a long day outside. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were super comfortable, and the outdoor deck was perfect for sipping morning coffee or stargazing at night. It truly felt like a home away from home - but better.
The cabin and bunkhouse were incredibly clean and cozy. The game room in the basement is a huge bonus and the kids really loved having their own space in the bunkhouse. We spent most of our time this week swimming around the floating dock, paddle boarding, kayaking, and fishing. We mainly chose this house because they provided all of the kayaks, life jackets, etc, and they were all great. Copper Lake is beautiful and there was maybe two other boats on the lake the entire week. It was like we had the entire lake to ourselves. We saw deer in the lake munching on water lilies and an otter. We drove into Merrill and played pickleball on the free courts at Ott Park and had dinner. Tomahawk is also an easy drive from the cabin and had dinner there one evening as well. It was a great week and we would definitely stay here again.
Great 4th of July stay! Everything was very clean - as advertised. Lots of little helpful details from the Happy Guest checkin page, lots of fans throughout to keep cool, to the reflectors placed throughout the property to help see after dark, made the place special. And the bunkhouse is adorable. We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing off the dock and the fact that youâre a family (and dog) friendly rental with tons of games and toys for rainy days. Thanks for the great stay.
Our group was comprised of three adults and three teens. We especially appreciated that the property had paddleboards, kayaks, and a row boat so that everyone who wanted to be on the lake had a way to enjoy it. The teens slept in the bunk house and that worked well. The area is quiet and 15 minutes from a grocery store for supplies. Very nice spot for a family get away. We did think the checkout procedures (cleaning out refrig, doing dishes by hand) to be more than we anticipated, especially since the original booking included a cleaning fee.
Our stay at the lake house was incredibly relaxing, and the kids had a blast! The outdoor activities and family-friendly options were fantastic. The only suggestion we have, especially as a family that enjoys cooking, would be to add more microwave-safe plates and bowls, as most of the current ones are plastic. Additionally, a few more cooking tools, like a ladle for soup, would be helpful. That said, we made do with what was available and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
We had an amazing time at Copper Lake! The secluded lake was great for swimming and we all loved the game room downstairs. The cabin was very clean and spacious enough for our two families. Thanks for a great stay!
We loved staying at the Northwoods retreat! This how had everything we needed! Big deck for family meals, 3 Kayaks, 1 paddleboard and a row boat. We caught a lot of catfish and toads. We had the best week just enjoying that property.
We had a wonderful stay. It rained for a portion of our stay but we had a great time playing the many games in the game room. And we appreciated the ample supply of towels, dishes, and blankets.
Nice little piece of heaven on a small lake in rural Wisconsin! Lots of extras offered for lake activities. Unfortunately we didnât get to use them because it rained most of the time we were there but would be perfect for a sunny day. Basement also had lots of games for the kids. Was a great place for our family sxs trip. Only downside was there is only one shower. Would stay here again.
Very convenient to the IAT trailhead(s), super clean and functional. The owners put lots of effort into making the place a great place to relax after a long day!
The home was even better than it showed in the pictures. Worked perfectly for my group. Kids loved the bunkhouse and the game room downstairs. It was a cool fall weekend so we didn't get in the water but the property was very pretty and full of colorful leaves. We had everything we needed and would love to return.
We rented the house to stay in for our daughter's wedding. It was a beautiful location and home away from home. Management was prompt in answering questions. We won't hesitate to rent from here again. Highly recommend this property.
One of our best vacations in quite some time. This lake house was set up perfectly for our familyâs needs. We tend to be going in 2 or 3 different directions and meeting up for meals. Gaming downstairs, watercolor painting upstairs, kayaking on the lake, tv in 3 places so Brewers game and a movie can be going, a deck or fire pit for my brotherâs cigar-means-vacation evening, Ice Age Trailhead close by, ⊠And sleep spaces aplenty! When you have reached the ages when snorers have to be separated from the others sleep options are our first consideration. My husband and I kept saying, âmy ears are in shock from all of this quiet!â. What a beautiful thing! I hope we can repeat next fall or try again in a different season.
If you are anything like me, you read a bunch of reviews before booking a property. The reviews are what easily convinced me to book this lake home! While our stay and the communication with the property manager gets a glowing five stars⊠I SOO wish it would be advertised more in summer months that this home doesnât have any air conditioning. While you canât predict weather in Wisconsin ever, nor predict that a Labor Day weekend would be a blazing 90+ degrees, we might have brought our own stand alone AC unit from home or thought about booking elsewhere honestly given it was a summer weekend. It got pretty hot and sticky to the point where we went a bought another stand alone AC unit ($519 later) so we could sleep comfortably in the home the next 2 nights. Unfortunately the bunk house didnât have any AC either so we were pretty sticky waking up first thing in the morning. Second thing worth mentioning that raves how awesome the property management team is - when we arrived it was dirty, beds unmade etc and I was initially confused thinking we were too early to check in. Turns out, it was just a miscommunication with cleaning. Dave was extremely apologetic and waved our cleaning fee and gave us a $50 for fish fry that night in town. Great guy! You could tell he felt bad and wanted to right the wrong. Luckily we are very laid beck! Besides all that, it was an amazing home, well stocked, and we will be back again at some point!! Thank you for the stay!!
We stayed here with another family, so 8 total (4 adults & 4 kids under 15) for a joint family vacation and we had a wonderful time! Everyone enjoyed the paddle board, kayaks & swim raft. The kids spent most of their time jumping off the swim raft & liked sleeping in the bunk house. And the game room was perfect when the rain came! We're already talking about a return trip!
Our scheduled stay was from Saturday, July 22 to Saturday, July 29. We left on Friday to go home because the power went out Thursday evening and was predicted to be off until late Saturday.
The property was great! The home was clean and stocked well! The dock was very nice. Use of the boat, kayaks and paddle board was so much fun! We had great fishing! Loved our stay here! Hope to return sometime! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
Our two families had a great time. The bunkhouse and gameroom were a hit for the teens. Water was calm and actually warmer than expected. We loved the deck and the fire pit. Had a lot of fun swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Be careful of the old pier posts in the water in front of the dock. We think these should be marked or removed. They are right off the end of the dock where someone might be tempted to jump in. David made us aware, but they are just in a bad location. Overall, really enjoyed the feeling of the deep woods but also having nice towns near by. Would rent again!
