'This house sits in the middle of a hayfield, set 500’ or so back from the road. Very quiet, and a secure place to let the dogs play. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, and well-equipped, including heat-pump a/c and an excellent washer/dryer in the basement. The Mabou area is always a treat: grocery, gas station and the Red Shoe Pub (very nice restaurant and music venue) all 5 minutes away. Mabou Mines sandy beach 10 minutes away. 'We loved staying in the Forest Lake House! Michael and Winnie were gracious hosts and very welcoming. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking, the canoe and roasting marshmallows over the fire in front of the house overlooking Lake Ainslie. A true gem! '
