'The absolute highlight of this hotel is the team: The staff is consistently attentive, incredibly welcoming, and extremely helpful. The breakfast also completely won me over – it is fresh, very good, and offers great variety every day. The only downside is the location, which is just okay and not exactly in the center of the action. However, if you value genuine hospitality and a strong culinary start to your day, you are in very good hands here.'

'Rustic room in a garden setting about 20 minutes walk from town. It was convenient to have kitchen facilities and I enjoyed opening the windows for the breeze to come through (with a mosquito net over the bed). However I found the bed hard (and I'm not fussy) and the cleaning and maintenance could be improved.'

'We had a wonderful stay at Pousada Serra da Bocaina! The place is surrounded by a beautiful garden and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit, homemade cakes, and great coffee. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The room was very comfortable, with a good bed and everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The only small downside was that there wasn’t a really...
