'The Inn is around 700 years old. Hosts/staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good variety menu-wise, food/portions very good. Good selection for breakfast. Full English is a 'not to miss'. Nice garden seating area. Handy for Bigbury -on-Sea... Thank you for a good, all round, stay.'

'Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me. Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble Thanks for a great stay at a difficult time.'

'Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed.'

'Great location, staff were very helpful. Was a nice touch that they put on a free shuttle into Salcombe. They also provided complimentary gin and ice and slice which we thought made the stay even more unique.'

'There is a golf course on site which means the golfers enter the building at times which creates mess on the floor apart from that room breakfast and evening meal were lovely.'

'Booked as a self-contained room thinking it had a kitchen. It did - shared by the rest of the rooms on the floor. Hmmm. It felt like an institution - a key card to get through a barred gate, then again to enter the building, once more to enter the floor and finally a fourth time to enter the room. Didn't realize it was student accommodation most of the year. Whenever another room door closed there was a loud bang! Not peaceful enough for my comfort. The room window was floor to ceiling with a...
