B&B in Rhode Island

'Few complaints about the inn itself. The problem started on the day before our arrival with an email from an unknown company saying "We need a valid copy of your ID before we can provide". I had fully paid for my room 8 months in advance. It turned out that the company owns this as well as other inns. The Director I spoke with on the phone implied they would not provide a room key code unless I agreed to their extensive legal conditions and sent my driver's license image.'

But the best feature of Gardenview is its owner/proprietor, Mary Fitzgerald. Mary could not be more welcoming, going the extra mile to make her guests' visits as enjoyable as possible. 'Beautiful and charming old hotel. The restored historical buildings do not meet all modern standards. This is inevitable, but avoid rooms 101 and 102 in the basement of one of the houses. Cleaning needs improvement, breakfast is very good.'

'We were in Newport for the Jazz Festival. The accommodations were very good, location convenient for everything. Pictures accurately depict the property. The only thing that I would suggest be improved is the wifi. We ended up using our phone hotspot to connect when we were in the room. We would stay there again.'
