'This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! The hut was perfect, the bed extremely comfortable with high-quality linens and duvet/pillows. Kitchen very well-supplied with everything I needed (and more). The bathroom was great too, shower a little on the less-powerful side, but I expected that seeing...

'This house is beautiful and full of character. It is comfortable and well laid out. The kitchen was easy to use and the shower was perfect. We loved Amesbury as well - it is a great small town with easy access to Salisbury and the main A303 route. Overal an excellent stay. '

'Great location and beautiful garden with views across the hills. Spotlessly clean and well maintained with all the things you may need for your holiday. The caretakers were very friendly and helpful and cared about us and the property with pride. Local supermarkets, petrol station and IKEA were only a mile down the road plus a five minute walk from the property was a pub serving food and an excellent fish n chips shop! Buses into town from outside the chippy were every 10 minutes or sooner!'

'Real nice old cottage in a area where there is lots to see. The cottage has all the modern facilities like washing machine and dryer. In a house that is more than 300 years old. Fantastic!! Low ceilings, my son could just stand up, he is 185 cm high. But we loved it.'
