To start, never received access information from host until I requested at arrival of property. There is nothing like having to wait after a long day of travel. It wasn’t quite like pictured as it did seem a bit run down. Perhaps when the property was new it was better. It was organized but did lack necessities. There are no forks in the utensil drawer, only spoons and knives. Try eating food without a fork. The oven did not work and the microwave’s display did not display so we had no idea how long we were heating anything up. The downstairs shower had no hot water and the master bedroom shower was very difficult to produce hot water however it did eventually after tinkering with the on/off valve.The beds were well beyond wore out. They have no support and made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Most of the smoke detectors were missing and one seemed to beep continuously as if it had a low battery that came from behind the locked door in the kitchen. So we had to deal with fours days of that beeping sound which was miserable!It was not as secure as told in the description, the gate was never closed and anyone could access the property on the outside. Someone even beat on the door after midnight on our last night and made our young son very scared as he was in the lower bedroom. The neighborhood is old and not the safest. Not as “suite” as we thought.Time to rethink some of these VRBOs.
