A pleasant one-night stay on our road trip through Arizona. It is clear that Margie takes pride in her B&B. From our quick drive through town, Winslow seems for the most part to be an economically disadvantaged area. Local restaurant options are limited for vegetarians. The B&B is within a short walk to the famed Eagles corner. The star of this B&B was the large, private bathroom that has both a shower and a tub. Breakfast in an en-suite breakfast nook consisted of two containers of Greek yogurt, two croissants, and coffee (all provided at check-in). Margie has a number of rules for guests, including no large roller bags and no coolers in the room.

It’s very clean and a neat old house. It’s my first experience of a B&B that offered continental breakfast, every other one has offered a wonderful hot meal. Only one chair in the room so someone has to sit on the bed. Lots of rules, and one of them was no wheeled luggage, and no coolers.

I liked the decor. The room needs a t.v. and bottled water. The location is run down, yard needs attention. No mention of breakfast. This was a B AND B, after all.

Very comfortable, good sleeping, nice decor.. Lacked support personal. Had a couple needs. but once checked in the assistant had disappeared. Additionally, we got in around 2:00 pm but the attendant refused to let us in until 4:00 although no one was staying there when we arrived. We usually check into establishments by 3:00. Very strict on times but left within a few minutes after we got there without making sure we didn't have any concerns. Knocked on her door several times but she didn't answer.

Peaceful and antiquey

Margie has a very lovely bed and breakfast. You get an entire suite with a living room, dining room and bedroom with en suite. There is a claw foot tub as well as a shower. It is located in a sort of shabby but very safe neighborhood, but it is 2 easily walked blocks from the historic downtown and Eagles corner. It is quiet and roomy and filled with wonderful antiques. And a great bed. Maybe the best part is the incredible breakfast Margie prepared. There was fruit, eggs, bacon one day and French toast with carmelized bananas the next. It was served in our very private dining room. It was great for us!

Violet Rose Bed and Breakfast is a must visit when traveling through Arizona. It was so relaxing after a long day of driving. Having the entire first floor made it feel like an airbnb- total privacy. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the table was set beautifully, I had to take a picture. I was pleasantly surprised by this bed & breakfast and plan to return again soon.

Best B&B in Winslow!

Delightful vintage B&B. Quaint, you'll have a room to yourself (no other guests in house). On a quiet side street, yet just a few blocks from downtown, and five minutes from I-40.

The Bed and Breakfast space gives you 3 spacious rooms filled with antiques and charm. Very unique.

My wife and I have stayed in dozens of B&Bs and this is the first negative review that we’ve given. The accommodations were acceptable, old but clean and reasonably comfortable. The proprietor, Margerie, was the problem. She was not accommodating and gave us the feeling that we were intruding in her home. During breakfast the first morning, which was quite good, she brought a small carafe of coffee which was a cup and one half for each of us. When I asked if we could have more coffee, Margerie replied curtly that “you only get one pot with breakfast”. After breakfast, we asked if she could leave two glasses out for us when we return for the day. We like to have a glass of wine in the evening. When we returned that evening, we found two red solo cups on the table. Margerie never once asked if we needed anything or asked if we enjoyed our stay when we departed. I would not recommend this place and would not stay there again.

unique gem!

This bed and breakfast is a unique gem! It's unbelievable when Margie tells you that you have the entire floor to yourself, has tea and cake ready for you on your arrival, and then asks you when you would like breakfast the next morning! The room has both a shower and a giant tub - amazing if you need a little soak after driving cross-country. There is also a small refrigerator in the room for your use - again, very handy if you're on a road trip and want to chill water for the drive the next day. The house is in a great location - a couple blocks to restaurants/sights.

Quiet and romantic

My wife and I really enjoyed the extremely quiet and cozy get away. There is no TV and that is a good thing. Great for relaxing and unwinding. When in Winslow, you gotta take it easy. Margie is a wonderful hostess and breakfast was delicious. We will be back.

A Bygone Era

I enjoyed stay at VRBB.... my wife LOVED it. Great care was taken to optimize Victorian feel and charm. You get entire area to yourself to transform into idyllic time of gentility. The host keenly senses level of her input desired by guests and accommodates beautifully. Super breakfast and hospitality!

The room was the size of an apartment, lovely owner who prepared a delicious breakfast after a comfortable delightful evening in her charmingly decorated hotel apartment complete with bubble bath in a clawfoot tub. I felt totally pampered! No TV however.

Back to 19th Century

Actually it's a fully equipped apartment for at maximum 3 people. It's furnished old style like 1800s house full of objects, lamps, tapestries and very warm. It's really amazing. Mergie has been a perfect host it seemed to have a modern "Mary Poppins" at our service. She prepared a wonderful breakfast, very delicious meal with all kinds of food. We couldn't ask more! The atmosphere is really like being in the past. Very clean and equipped: Centrally located in Winslow Really suggested. Id love to come back again

Gulligt B&B

Förutom "the corner" från Eagles Take it easy och Route 66 har Winslow inte mycket att erbjuda. Violet Rose fungerar dock bra för en på-väg-någon-annanstans övernattning. Fantastisk frukost!

The Violet Rose a terrific place to stay

We had a wonderful time staying at the Violet Rose B&B. Marjorie is a terrific hostess and a great cook. Our breakfast was the best one we had on our trip.
