Excellent Stay Close to Beach

We really enjoyed this condo. The screen porch was great and the condo was very clean and well stocked. We also loved the short walk to the beach as compared to most places on HHI.

The perfect place!

We loved everything about this condo! The pool and beach were a hit for our kids. It also had everything we needed, including enough toilet paper and paper towels for a family of six. Palmetto Dunes is also a beautiful resort and has been our favorite place to stay on the island.

Relaxing Retreat

My family Had a wonderful time! House was very clean and well stocked with dishes, glasses and cooking essentials. Perfect location in Palmetto Dunes for bike riding, walking to the beach and just relaxing. Very well kept!

Great getaway

We had a wonderful time. Property was very clean and neat. The neighborhood was very family friendly and the beach was great- our access was not crowded at all. The back porch was wonderful for the kids. We will be back!

Bring the beach to your livingroom

Hickory Cove was an absolute delight! The home is decorated in appropriate beach theme with plenty of space for everyone. This unit sleeps 9 so it was perfect for our family of 7. Walking distance to the beach was an added bonus as was the community pool just a short walk out the front door. Hickory Cove did not disappoint and we would definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Rented this unit for a girls trip and we had a blast! The unit was exactly as described and fit our needs perfectly! (There were 9 of us) We LOVED the screened in porch and spent many hours out there drinking coffee in the mornings and playing mahjong in the evenings! The pool was REALLY close and the beach a comfortable walk away! We hope to return for next summer!

great proximity to beach

Best part about the property - location. This was what I was looking for. It was just a short stroll to the beach carrying umbrella and chairs...not huffing long distances with all the beach essentials. It was also a quick walk to the general store and pickle ball courts. The property was nicely decorated and we enjoyed the extra space in the screened porch. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful Palmetto Dunes condo!

We had a fantastic stay at Hickory Cove 8. Less than 5 minutes to the beach and a fairly quiet section of the beach too which was nice. The condo is beautifully decorated and has every amenity needed especially in the kitchen. Comfortable beds, new and spacious bathrooms and we LOVED the screened porch - favorite spot to hang out. It’s also walking distance to the tennis, pickle ball and General Store. We loved all the bike paths and biking on the beach. Close to great restaurants and shops. Great stay and we hope to he back. Highly recommend!

Before renting, be aware that they will only give you two passes to enter Palmetto dunes. Parking at the complex is difficult. The condo was not clean- floors were filthy (bottom of feet were black after walking on floors) and utensils and coffee cups were dirty - not just one or two items- literally every piece of dishware pulled out was dirty. The most horrific part of all was a 12” carving knife that was left on the bannister upstairs. I am so grateful that my 4 year old grandson didn’t see it while he was helping us unload the car. I called to inform and spoke to the a representative from the rental company and asked for management to call me back and they didn’t. I even messaged and texted but no response. That could have been catastrophic. The condo itself was okay, but owners need to fire rental and cleaning company. I will never rent this condo again. This is the first negative review I have ever done.
