« The property is very remote, tucked into the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there was no direct access to the lake. The cabin was simple and rustic. Since we were just staying overnight, it worked out very good for us.We had breakfast at the local restaurant where we were seated on the back porch overlooking the lake. The food was excellent and a great start to the day. »

« It is always a pleasure staying at Lakeside. The lake was lovely and we were able to sneak a campfire in between the rain storms. Make sure to read the notes that Ritchie sends your way as it spells out exactly what you need to bring - trash bags, shampoo, etc. On VRBO, the pet fee was not very clear. It read as 25 per pet not per night, so that was a surprise as we stayed 2 nights. That may be because I booked via mobile, though, and it did not show correctly. I was unable to add a pet to my...

« Love the fact it was a duplex with two kitchens. Each bedroom had their own bathroom. Need some TLC of minor fixes. We had a great time using this as base camp! »

« This place was perfect for our needs of having a dog-friendly place to stay between our trips to Mackinaw City & Mackinac Island—great location (~12 minute drive to Mackinaw), comfortable amenities, and quiet. Would love to come back and explore more of the area! »

« We had so much fun in this adorable space! You can tell that it is newly renovated. Right across the street from two docks for swimming with kayaks and standup paddle boards on site. Very close to downtown Boyne city. Boat rentals on site and if they are booked, there are Moore boat rentals extremely close. We look forward to staying again. »

« Fantastic cabin, and the owners have not forgotten a thing! I can’t believe the amount of times my dream girl said “oh wow, they even have…(insert name of item here)” They were very communicative and attentive. A beautiful property, our only regret was we didn’t have more time to spend on it. It’s centrally located to so many great things to do. « We e joyed and appreciated everything about this property! Clean, comfortable, all the necessities in a quite and pretty setting! We could not paddle the Sturgeon river as planned due to extensive rain, but all else was fantastic! p.s., the bed is wonderful! »

« Very cute place, perfect for what we needed and in close distance to various cities. So many nice touches. We got to see deer right off their deck…so close. Best part for us was we got to enjoy it with our dog! She loved laying on the deck in the sun while we played games. »

« Our second stay in this exact cabin. Quaint and right on the lake. It's so peaceful. We sat and made a fire both night, ate s'mores, and enjoyed nature. It's also a bonus Mackinac City is 10 minutes away. Owner is nice, communicates, and is available if you need anything because he lives on the property. We will definitely be back. »

« This will be our "Go To" place to stay in Mackinaw. By far the best place to stay if you like privacy, convenience and the perfect location. We slept 6 with no issues. Would be amazing for a couple. We will be back. »
