Great pool and view
Stay there with my girlfriend few days and we had a really nice time. The pool and the views are amazing and the staff very friendly. Few things to watch out for: Quite a steep long walk to get to the nearest bleach, it’s doable but a nice little exercise. WiFi doesn’t work, thanks I had an European 4G contract. The food quality if average. Had lunch once and for the same price by the main road you have a much better meals and portions. Check out is at a ridiculous 10am. We asked for a late checkout as our flight was at 5pm and we had to pay another’s 20 euros for few extra hours. The hotel wasn’t even busy.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your stay! Also, thank you for the kind words about the pool, views and staff. Regarding your comment on wi-fi, is a general problem of the area. New fiber optics network in Argostoli area will be ready in the next 1-2 months. I am sorry that you found your lunch expensive and the quality average. We are very proud about our food and beverage quality and we are continually trying to improve them. Late check out (up to 6pm) is normally charged with the half price of the daily room rate. We didn’t ask something like that and your request was to keep room till 4pm. In that case we have to bring out a cleaner exclusively for your room and that is not free of charge. Once again thank you for your review and look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

The view of the ocean was the best part. The swimming pool was also excellent. Walking back to the hotel from the main strip was a little tough due to the steep incline. And I would have liked to see more Greek options for breakfast instead of all the English options. The rooms were cleaned very well.

A Great Hotel that I highly Recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel - we're so very glad we booked it. The room (no.7) was enormous, with a lounge area separate to the bedroom; and to top it off, we had a sea-facing balcony which gave us magnificent views over the land and sea. I would suggest hiring a car or quad to get to and from the hotel, as it is a steep walk to the main road (just short of a kilometre), but I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel for it's great location and stunning ameneties!

Dionysos Village Resort is a fantastic place to stay for a holiday. The views are absolutely fantastic, mainly due to it being on a large hillside. Contrary to past reviews, air conditioning is now included and they no longer charge to use it in the room. Every single staff member we met was friendly, smiley and talkative which really added to the experience. The bar is very well priced, €4-5 for a pint or bottle of beer, €7 for a ‘classic’ cocktail and €10 for a ‘premium’ cocktail. Happy hour was from 18:00-20:00 every day where the drinks are cheaper! The food from the bar’s kitchen was really nice too, highly recommend the salads or the traditional greek dishes! They serve lunch and dinner from there next to the pool. Breakfast finishes at 10am every day and is located in the canteen overlooking the pool, selection was decent with eggs, bacon, sausages, toast with jam/marmalade, fruit selection, pastries, ham & cheese, etc. The hotel is in a good location if you use taxi’s or hire a car. I wouldn’t recommend walking up OR down the hill(s) during the day as it’s simply too hot in peak season. The taxis are very well priced, generally being €7 for any trip to Lassi, €8 to anywhere in Argostoli town, etc. Keep in mind the taxis are cash only. The closest ATM is near the supermarket (Mina) at the bottom of the hill, it charges €3.95 for each withdrawal. The beach at the bottom of the hill (Makris Gialos) is beautiful and the sunbeds in front of Costa Costa are great!

Fabulous. The rooms aren’t flashy but they are huge and well equipped. The pool, bar etc is stunning. Staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. It’s an absolute gem. Bring your own beach towels. Air conditioning is extra. Great base to explore the island and very convenient for airport. Views are breathtaking.

The property is very nice and the staff are very good. The views are amazing but the hill leading to it is called cardiac hill, even the car won't go up in 2nd gear. It should also be mentioned that Aircon is chargeable extra and you need it.

Super Hotel
We had stayed at Dionysos before so had some idea of what to expect. The hotel is clean and the staff are really helpful and always make you welcome. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. The walk up the hill is a challenge (we must have done it 20 times) but with taxis charging €6 to and from the strip this is not a real issue. The grounds and pool are well maintained and I would strongly recommend this hotel. Only minor issues (these should not deter anyone from staying, they are observations) are that air conditioning is not standard and I feel the hotel could do more to promote it's facilities. For example, the food is excellent but there is no atmosphere when you are the only one's in the the restaurant. The strip is nearby with a number of restaurants serving a good range of food. We enjoyed trying a number of local Greek dishes. All in all a super stay at a super hotel.

Het uitzicht is een 10, de bereikbaarheid: redelijke klim en als je het te voet aflegt voor de liefhebber. Ontbijt is simpel maar voldoende. Redelijke keuze maar wel elke dag hetzelfde aanbod. als je elke dag wat ander neemt heb je nog wel voldoende variatie. Internet is zoals erg traag en via wifi. Het mobile netwerk is redelijk rond de bewoonde gebieden. Met de taxi naar Argosteli kost ± €7,00.

Super nice view from everywhere - rooms, pool area, restaurant but it is not for free - you have to climb up quite steep hill from beach/town. It is just 10 minutes walk to reach beach or main street with tavernas. Rooms are nice - seems to be newly decorated. There is everything needed. Breakfast was good - good selection of different options. Pool is nice and big - a lot of sun beads. No issues to get one. We have not tried the restaurant. Staff was nice and friendly.

La struttura è divisa in appartamenti che garantiscono privacy e tranquillità. Le camere sono spaziose e la pulizia è ottima. Il posto è meraviglioso, in collina ad un km dal mare, ben curato, la piscina è fantastica, completa di ombrelloni e lettini, molto pulita. Il personale è gentilissimo, sempre con il sorriso, molto professionale e pronto ad aiutarti per ogni necessità.

Fantastic holiday.
From start to finish we had a fabulous stay at Dionysos. Check in was simple and we were made extremely welcome by the owners. The view from the hotel was fantastic, the accommodation was totally satisfactory and the pool was excellent with plenty of sunbeds...no necessity to leave a towel to get a bed!! The breakfast was ample and the meals we had in the hotel were very good with excellent service from Alex and Carlos. Nothing ever seemed to much trouble for any of the staff. The Greek night was entertaining with plenty of food and some excellent Greek dancing, The musical chairs was very funny. The hill is okay to walk and with taxi's for €5 from the strip it was never an issue. The local Makris Gialos beach was beautiful and the gentle slope into the sea made it suitable for all age groups. From our days out we really enjoyed Fiskardo and we spent a few hours on Myrtos beach which is stunning and breathtaking. Kefalonia is a beautiful island and our stay at Dionysos was brilliant. We will definitely look to return.
