'The house and the staff were amazing! The home was beautiful and in a great location regarding park access. The staff was so very accommodating, and even let me check in a little early. If you’re considering staying in an inn, remember that the walls are thinner than a regular hotel. You’re basically sharing a home with others, depending on how many rooms are in the house. Overall, great stay and I would definitely recommend and go back myself.'

'Great views of harbour, easy walking distance to Main Street with plenty of bars restaurants. We ate in the thirsty whale was very reasonable in price. The bus stops at the hotel which links to the free buses to take you to Acadia national park. Very nice place to stay.'

'We liked the fact that the inn was relatively close to downtown Bar Harbor. We could hop on the free shuttle that picks up guests from a series of hotels and inns. It runs every 20 to 25 minutes and ends up by the Bar Harbor Green. Trying to park in Bar Harbor is way too challenging and expensive. The inn is close to a very busy street, which can be noisy. Breakfast is OK. A wider variety of fruit would be appreciated. Not sure why kiwis were offered. You can’t peel them or cut them with a...

'We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Ivy Manor. The Inn is clean and comfortable. You really can't beat the location. We were able to walk to pretty much everything, and the nearby Island Explorer stop is perfect for things that are a little further away. There are tons of great shops and restaurants all around the Inn. A parking spot is included with the room which is a godsend !(parking is neither easy to find or cheap in Bar Harbor).
