'Beautiful home and very hospitable owners. The room was clean (and the rest of the house), although the bathroom was a bit outdated. Breakfast was disappointing because it consisted of supermarket products that were put in the bedroom/fridge, thus breakfast was not freshly made. Moreover, wine and beer in the fridge were quite expensive (e.g., 20 pounds for the bottle of wine) and other stuff in the house were pricetaged which felt a bit weird (e.g., cute teddybear for 35 pounds).'

'Good location close to the Minster. Room was on the main road side of the building, but we'll sound proofed. Some noise from the bar, but this is expected in a pub. Problem with loss of hot water pressure on the final morning was irritating, but these things happen. Clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on the food. '

'Het is een leuke, goed gelegen locatie. Het stadscentrum is op loopafstand (20 minuten) en het station is ook dichtbij. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend aardig en heel hulpvaardig. Nadeel was het bed; voor ons was het matras te zacht en wat kort. '

'Unique little hotel above a popular pub. Not noisy though. Our room was incredibly small. Really cute but the smallest lodging I have ever stayed in. Be sure to tell them if you are large people. That could have been an issue. The hotel is clean and has great staff. '

'Beautiful hotel, great location, just out of the City centre. There is a bit of a walk back up a fairly steep hill. Breakfast has to be ordered the evening before and there is a good choice. The only downside the room we stayed in was that it faced the main road and we were unable to have the window open during the night as it was very noisy. If we stayed again, we would choose a room facing the garden.'

'This was properly one of the most weird travel experiences ever. It started with getting spams of emails, what's app and SMS from the guest house, where they send you codes for how to enter the building and how to find your keys and your room. That is the only contact you will have with any of the staff, for the rest you are let alone. The guesthouse is very poorly accessible for people with special needs, you need to walk 4 stairs up to reach your room, without any elevators. The room is decent...

'It's a lovely place, nice room, basic and small but served our purpose. Very firm matrases, closer to hard. Good English breakfast but not much else. There were 2 issues only. One is that in a twin room you can't really use a wardrobe, it's very tight spacing and it just doesn't open as the bed is next to it (you can't move the bed either, no space). And at 7.00 fire alarm went off in our room. That seriously disrupted my sleep and turned out to be something in the kitchen. No one even went down...

'Uitstekend hotel dicht bij de winkels. Kamer goed schoon en netjes. Goede service en prima ontbijt. Heerlijk voor een paar dagen Londen.'

'Gezellige, sfeervolle accomodatie met prachtig uitzicht over York vanuit onze kamer. Goede hygiëne, alles wordt prima schoongemaakt. Uitstekend, uitgebreid ontbijt. Ligging, vlak bij station York, prima. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen naar York-centrum. Heel servicegericht personeel.'

'Guesthouse is op de doorgaande weg naar het centrum wat met de bus makkelijk te doen is. Niet veel parkeergelegenheid. Kamer was ruim en ondanks verkeer redelijk rustig. Eigenaars zijn bijzonder vriendelijk. Wel verdient het schilder- en schoonmaakwerk binnen wat aandacht en een (overigens erg lieve) hond in de keuken waar het ontbijt gemaakt wordt, kan echt niet.'

'Personeel was vriendelijk. Ligging van verblijf is perfect en in een mooie wijk. In het weekend is er wel geluidsoverlast doordat de ramen niet van dubbel glas zijn. Het is koud in de kamers. Schoonmaak viel tegen. Laatste dag was een ramp. Er kwam een gestoorde verblijven die de hele nacht herrie maakte en daar deden ze niets aan. Ontbijt is prima. Jammer dat de croissantjes niet bijgevuld worden en snel op zijn.'

'Net hotel, de kamer was wel erg knus en er was geen fatsoenlijke kast. Maar de badkamer maakte dat voor ons goed met een ruime douche en regendouchekop en normale douchekop. Het hotel is op een super fijne locatie met verschillende supermarkten en goede restaurants dichtbij. En via de buslijnen kom je overal. '

'Nette accomodatie met vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We kwamen ruim voor de inchecktijd om de bagage achter te laten, maar konden gelijk de kamer in. De kamer bleek ruimer (upgrade) dan verwacht.'
