I arrived at The Queenslander at check-in time after a very long drive with a sick companion to find it already occupied by people who said they had a long-term occupancy! I called the property manager who said the booking had been cancelled that morning due to a plumbing issue (plainly untrue!) and blaming another organisation for not passing on the information. They were unable to arrange alternative accommodation, leaving us in a potentially very unsafe situation. I had booked and paid for The Queenslander well in advance and had several exchanges of messages with the host in the lead up to our trip as my companion was juggling medical treatment dates and I wasn't sure if they would be able to join me. All communication ceased after the booking was cancelled and I had to make a formal complaint to get access to write this review. Needless to say this was a very unsatisfactory experience for me and made a difficult trip much more stressful than it needed to be for my companion.
