"Review hôtel Wimereux
I barely knew anything about this hotel when I booked it. Its very hard to find a room for a 3 person family. Inwas just happy to have found somewhere affordable we could spend the night before heading to Ireland. It turned out to be brilliant. It’s in the mainstreet of the centre of a little seaside/river side town. 7 minute walk from the beach and boulevard.
We had a clean adorable 4 bed apartment. Our daughter had her own room. The staff were old school hospitality. Extremely helpful, caring, friendly, patient and polite. Even for midnight arrivals.The restaurant serves fresh well prepared food (surf and turf) and the desserts are to die for.
The music in de restaurant and hotel is pleasantly eclectic and at a non-intrusive volume. The restaurant has some lovely old features and apparently stems from 1848 .
We wanted to sit in the beautiful garden terras to eat our puds and the lovely staff immediately followed us to make sure we were comfortable with blankets and a fire. The staff here are incredibly alert and acute.
The hotel may be in need of some cosmetic repairs but they the old furnishings are intact & added to with tasteful new ones
We stayed here on the way to, and from, Ireland and will recommend it to our F&F.
