'Price/quality doesn’t stand equal to each other, especially when you book via expedia. com.'

'Self service check in, room could do with a bit of an update, paint peeling off the ceiling, we had to jam the door with a business card to stop it rattling in the wind, but it was good for what we paid for! It was cheap & cheerful! Clean bedding and comfy bed! Would we stay again?? Yes!!'

'We left after just 4 hours because the property was nothing like the listing. The photos give a far better impression than the reality. Before arrival, I had to chase the host for check-in instructions as nothing had been sent. Even after calling, I was only given the key safe code. Later that day, after we’d already left, I received an email stating there was a £100 charge per pet, despite the Hotels.com listing clearly advertising “pets go free.” The property appeared to have had only...

'Schone kamers, fijne plek'

'Wonderful stay. Clean and with all the amenities you need. Great location. Privacy. Lovely pub with great food, super friendly. Had a small issue so we called Jonny who answered on the 2nd ring, talked us through the solution, and then gave us some tips on things to do. Great service. Highly recommend and we’ll be back in the autumn.'

'What a stunning place steeped in history. From the beautiful exterior to the historical interior, everything was wonderful and authentic. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the service was top notch. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was great, finishing in the fabulous bar area with the enormous fireplace complete with hidden priest-hole. If you're looking for some ancient and typically British surroundings then you couldn't go wrong with The Mermaid in Rye.'

'Ik verblijf vaker in dit hotel als ik voor werk naar het VK ga. Dan reis ik de dag er voor en overnacht dan hier. Dan is het een kleine twee uur naar elk punt in London, dus kan ik nog meerdere afspraken plannen en 's avonds weer terug. Heerlijk hotel!'

'Enkel geslapen hier. Gewoon goed en comfortabel. '

'Nice room, small but cozy. Suprisingly quiet.'

'Vriendelijke personeel'

'This is a nice hotel in a truly spectaculair situation. And what a vieuw! If you’re looking for luxury and large rooms this is not for you. But it is in a building with character and charm. Nice room and bathroom, clean, good bed and pillows and a good breakfast with plenty of choice. Carpets on the floor, not my favorite in any hotel, not hygiënic. For eldery people the roads are steep and slippery (cobblestones). No parking. Rye is truly charming, well worth a visit! '

'Lodge was beautiful in a very quiet secluded wooded area. It was well equipped with everything you need. Hot tub, BBQ and seating area lovely. Very comfortable bed and kitchen had everything you need. Really great stay.'

'Great location, but the hotel is in need of renovation. It is ideally situated within walking distance of the High Street, local attractions, and walking trails. Unfortunately, the hotel looks rather tired, with worn carpets, stains on the carpet in the room, and badly overdue exterior paintwork. The breakfast was a plus, as was the service. The staff were helpful and an issue I raised was resolved quickly and to my satisfaction.'
