'Great value for money. Obviously the building is a bit dated but it's what you'd expect for the price. I've stayed in more expensive hostels that were not as clean etc. This room was clean. People said on other reviews said about the walls being thin which is true if there's loud people in so basically like any hotel. 'Exceptionally well decorated and beautiful home to explore the local area. Very welcoming on reception and everything you could need. Only minor gripe was the upstairs shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in between but sort that and this place is perfect. '

'A beautiful house, with a spacious and comfortable room - with a massive bath! (We paid extra for the room with a bath and we’re not disappointed.) It was wonderfully peaceful and felt so relaxing. The bed was very soft but we nevertheless slept really well because of the lovely atmosphere, quiet and airiness of the room. Friendly and professional staff. 'Rooms was very nice especially with the sea view but what mostly stood out was how polite and caring the staff where any problem we had they fixed so a big thank you to them. Upgraded my room for no extra charge twice because we ended up booking another 2 nights there because how much we enjoyed the whole experience will always be the hotel of choice for us when going to Scarborough '
