Relaxing neighborhood close to beach

The apartment was small but great for 2 people. It was on a quiet street and a two minute walk to the beach. Private beach was awesome and relaxing. We were there for 12 days, had Walmart delivery for groceries and walked or Urber for everything else.

Relaxing Getaway

Loved the location! Our unit was perfect for the 2 of us. You could tell that Brian and Aleyda put a lot of detail and attention into their property. They were great host. A nice hospitality gift of some foods and drinks awaited us upon our arrival! And the walk to the quite, beautiful beach was just a few steps away. We will be back

Perfect Vacation

We had a great stay at this location! The owner is very accomodating and was prompt to help with the one issue we had of the AC filter needing replaced. Close to the beach and very exclusive for late September/early October. for our spot on the beach we were one of the few people within hundreds of feet of any others. It was quiet and relaxing which is just what we needed. The nearby buses and Uber drivers were prompt and kind. The legendary restaurant Jaxaon's was only about 5 min drive away and we ate there 2x. Very unique desserts and food. There were beach chairs, a wagon and beach umbrella available to make it so we could stay relaxing on the beach for hours without getting too much sun. The sand was clean and life guard on duty daily. The Aventura Mall 10-15 min car ride away had every high end store I've ever heard of. As well as a great food court. All nearby restaurants cost more than what food costs in Indiana but the portion sizes make up for the cost. You will get what you pay for. The kitchen and room were stocked with all the necessities and even a smart TV so we could cast shows from our phones to the TV. The shower was hot. The outdoor shower let us wash sand off from the beach. We ordered whole foods delivery off Amazon when we arrived and had groceries for the whole week. We did not have a car and used the buses or Uber and saved money versus a rental. If there is anything we wish we had it would iust be some chip clips and a bar of shower soap.

Great Find; So Glad We Picked It

This property fully lives up to the glowing reviews we read before coming, The apartment was excellent. On arrival, my wife and I found a nice bottle of wine in the fridge plus other gifts of food and drink placed by our hosts to welcome us; and we quickly put some of it to use for cocktails out under the “Tiki Hut” in the garden. In the morning, we were pleased to find the beach, life guarded but quite private, just 30 yards away. Other great beaches were only a mile or so north and south. We had 5 perfect days and wished we could have stayed a week or two, or more. Brian and his wife were friendly and attentive hosts. We come to Florida annually, and of all the places we’ve rented, from north of Miami Beach to the Palm Beach area, this was the absolute best!

Peaceful property steps from beach!

We adored our stay here. This property is nestled on a residential street steps from the ocean but the garden area the owners have built makes it feel very secluded. The very short walk to the beautiful private beach was closer than even some oceanfront condos we’ve stayed at, and right in front of a lifeguard shack that was staffed our whole visit. Great peace of mind for a family with small kids. Brian and his family were warm and welcoming, offering anything to make our stay even better while giving us space to do our thing. Location close enough for a quick drive to dinner, Publix, the local gym, etc and Doordash options but far away from heavy traffic. We greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend for a relaxing beach trip!

Beautiful property, close to the ocean with excellent hosts!

This is an excellent place to stay. The hosts were wonderful. They even had beer, wine, water, a fruit bowl, and snacks waiting for us when we arrived. The apartment is probably less than a minute walk to the beach, you can even see the beach from the driveway. They have the most beautiful garden to relax in after a long day at the beach. It even has a tiki hut with a tv that my kids loved to have movie night at. I really can’t think of anything I didn’t like about it. It was prefect! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.

This is the place! Best family getaway ever - with a 1 and 5 yr old!

If you have little ones and want quiet get-away only steps to the beach (with a lifeguard on duty) - Desoto Beach House place is for you! The area is absolutely beautiful - quiet, clean, and safe! First, the place is just as clean and beautiful as it looks in the photos. We have an almost two-year-old and a five-year-old. Brian and Aleyda were gracious enough to provide a pack-n-play and a high-chair for our little one - so we did not have to travel with either. We had everything we needed right there - beach toys (buckets, shovels, snorkeling masks and snorkels, beach balls, beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels). The beach is about half a block away - very little to no traffic, so a very safe walk. We brought a stroller and are so glad we did, about a half-block from the apartment you will find a boardwalk that goes for miles - you will find shops and restaurants, you do not need a car! We flew into FLL airport and it was a 12 min taxi ride to Desoto Beach House. We definitely overpacked - they have a washer and dryer right around the back of the building that you can use - coin-operated - they provided coins - we just had to ask. We ordered groceries three different times during our stay from the Publix nearby - it was really easy and not expensive! This was really convenient for us - we just wanted to have a low-key beach vacation, not have to go anywhere if we did not want to - and we did just that. There was a playground about two blocks down the boardwalk - our kids loved it! The garden outside was so relaxing, I spent many evenings working out there once the kids went to bed - it was perfect. We did not use them (only because we did not have any baby bike seats) but they do have several beach cruiser bikes available to use as well. Brian and Aleyda are wonderful hosts! Visiting the Desoto Beach House for a Florida beach vacation - is a must! We cannot wait to return!

Nice place, just few steps from the beach snd from the bike/walk pass. At the property, we found everything needed to enjoy our vacation! There was a nice surprise waiting for us in the fridge - a bottle of wine, a fruit bowl and some beer and water! Thanks again for your hospitality!!

Beachy stay

We love going to Hollywood Beach. The beach is gorgeous and the inter coastal is nice to walk along, too. You can walk, ride a bike or rollerblade along the path that runs along the beach for miles. So scenic and safe! We go down to see our friends and play golf at one of the golf courses every winter. So, we have stayed at a couple of different places. This place surpasses them all! Clean and comfortable. Brian made our stay extra special by leaving snacks for us. We loved being able to sit outside on the little porch, one of the outdoor tables or under the Tiki Hut. We had our friends over for stone crabs and he put a tablecloth down on one of the outdoor tables for us. He even told me where to go to get the stone crabs. You don’t get that kind of service any where else. The location is great. You can walk to restaurants in the area and stores are just a short drive away. The Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport is a 12 minute drive away. It’s just so convenient to everything.

Relaxing, great location

My friend was celebrating her birthday and they went above and beyond to make her stay special. The property is just like the pictures, the apartment is jut like the pictures. The beach is a stones throw away. You can bike or walk easily to the broadwalk. The owners are very nice and friendly. The mother in law’s cooking is delicious. If opportunity arises we will stay with them again.

Simply Amazing!

The Desoto Beach House was an amazing place to stay! The apt was extremely clean, it has all the appliances you need, it is steps from the beach, your steps from seeing the beautiful sunrises in the mornings, it has all your beach needs (chairs, umbrellas, kids toys, etc.), the garden itself is so peaceful, beautiful and relaxing to eat your lunch, read or relax after a day at the beach, the bikes for bike rides along the beach path or boardwalk, and the grill is also an extra perk for delicious burgers or grilled chicken! Seriously, not one complain about the property or the owners Brian or Aleyda! They were both phenomenal and usually are around the property checking in to make sure everything is going well! They're so kind and thoughtful that upon arrival we had snacks and water in the apartment which were much needed after a day of traveling! My husband, 18 month old daughter and myself had an amazing and relaxing time! We will definitely be back :)! This place is WORTH IT!!!

Everything was perfect. The location was great and the place was super cute. Definitely would recommend. The owners were super nice and responsive to any questions. The best place on the beach

We cannot recommend Desoto Beach House enough. Brian and Aleyda were incredible hosts and our apartment was perfect for our small family of three. Quiet and peaceful and so close to a stunning (almost private) beach. We will definitely be back. Also, you must try Aleyda's mother's cooking - she prepares incredible home cooked meals for guests on request. Thank you for providing a magical, relaxing space for us to reboot and reconnect with ourselves, each other and nature!
