A great stay, but the property needs some attention

I would have liked to have rated this a 4.5, but didn't have the option. The location was perfect, the property was clean, spacious, activities were available for entertainment, and the kitchen was well stocked for meal prep. However, much of the property, including furniture, exterior stairs, and trim is a bit worn and in need of some replacement/TLC. One of downstairs beds is using a cinder block as a support for the box spring resulting in the occupants rolling into each other. Bath linens were far from luxurious. That being said, my family of 10 had a wonderful time. The property managers were very responsive and addressed issues that needed immediate attention (exterior lighting (driveway and front stairs), exterior fire pit, and questions concerning local health care).

On the Beach

This was a clean property that suited our needs for a family visit to Folly Beach. The community spaces were comfortable and big enough to accommodate a large group. The game areas were fun to have. The kitchen was a little smaller than we thought from the pictures, but it accommodated cooking for our group well, and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and cooking tools. The location is the best thing here, though - right on the recently refurbished beach, which was wide and beautiful. Loved being able to run down the beach in the morning and pick up a paper at Bert's on the way back. If we're down in Folly again with the same group, we'll definitely look this spot up again. Had a great time!

Great Place for Weekend with Friends

Would definitely stay there again. Five of us shared the house so there was plenty of room. Right on the beach so location was great. Did some cooking and kitchen worked well. Checkin and out was easy.

College reunion group

Awesome property and management group! We booked this property for 14 adults and were excited to find a place that had great common spaces and "play" areas. The house and pictures were accurate as advertised. Big dining area, great TV area and pong and pool table spaces as well. Very short walk to a great beach! The property management was excellent. We had a small issue that we alerted the management team and they were quick and responsive to rectify the issue. Communication regarding check-in, check out and amenities were clear and descriptive. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Trip!

We had a great stay! Morning walks on the beach, great location. The house was perfect - open floor plan, plenty of space for everyone. My only complaint is we were too busy doing activities and didn’t get to spend enough time at the house. Great communication from hosts. Hopefully we will be able to go again someday!

Graduation week

This house did not disappoint! We had a few issues of our own making, and the property managers were quick to answer at all times, even late into the night, not quitting without a solution to our satisfaction. The view was incredible and there was more than enough room for all of our crew and then some! The semi private beach was fantastic, as well. I highly recommend this property!

Family vacation 2023

Property worked great for our large family gathering! Beds were super comfortable, linens and towels or excellent! Home was in need of some minor maintenance, TLC. The grill was not in good shape at all the sliding doors to the beach. Very very hard to open, not enough coffee cups for our six adults just some minor issues. Nothing ruined our trip! Would definitely rent again. When we arrive, we were made aware of any issue with the railing on the street side. They had a crew come in and fix it the next day. Overall, the house was perfect for our gathering.

Great beach house

Awesome location- the beach is your backyard. Spacious house with lots of open common area space. Hosts were quick to reply and very accommodating. Our group had a great time here. Would recommend this place.

Beautiful view and home

Overall it was a great home and beautiful view. The management team was somewhat responsive but there were no usable ping pong paddles and the outside lights were completely disconnected. They did end up sending ping pong paddles but they were extremely low quality. The Wi-Fi initially didn't work because the modem was disconnected.

Lovely destination, great location!

This house is perfectly located, very easy to get to the main strip and the beach access is stellar. The view of the house from the curb is not great, but that all melts away as soon as you walk out on the patio and see the ocean. There was a significant leak into one of the rooms downstairs, but the property manager was very communicative and the maintenance was not disruptive. The house wasn't sparkling clean, but we had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our trip. The services provided by the concierge company were a huge bonus. I would highly recommend!

Golf Getaway

We stayed here for a guys golf getaway and had a fantastic time. The house has great proximity to the beach and comes with several games in and out of the house to keep everyone well occupied. We would definitely return!

Lovely Home

This home sits right on the beach and is gorgeous. It is very spacious, several bedrooms, pool table, large kitchen table, multiple tv’s to accommodate all ages/variety of shows/gaming systems. The only complaint is that the AC in the upstairs master bedroom doesn’t work at all. It was impossible to cool the space. And we needed the space. And for some weird reason the heat would randomly come on, overnight. A couple of the mattresses probably need updating. Being beach front, made a huge difference with kids, as they could easily go back to the house for lunch, breaks, cool down, etc. The coolest space in the house is the upstairs loft, with an amazing view. The check in/out process was easy and any questions I had were answered by the AvantStay team quickly. The house was very clean and ready upon arrival.

Graduation Week!

This home was perfect for the week of our sons graduation, commissioning, and wedding at the Citadel. Perfect space for family and groomsmen. We loved being able to bring our puppy with us on vacation too. The views every day, all day were amazing. The kids liked being able to walk to the bars and I felt safe running every day. The only negatives we saw were the wood floor in the kitchen has a strange slanted trim piece that causes the floor to be uneven and caused people to trip and fall all week. We ended up putting up a row of chairs in the entry hall and painters tape to prevent people from walking in the front door after my 80 year old dad fell. The only other issue was the lack of bathrooms, other beach houses we’ve rented have baths with all bedrooms, in this home we had to share bathrooms. An extra refrigerator would be nice too!!! The home came as pictured online with lots of extra bed linens, beach towels, outside toys and lawn chairs! Thank you for a fun and memorable weekend!
