Short 3 Day Break

We had a lovely few days away and this lovely cottage was a great base for our stay. Great communication and flexibility from the owners took away any hassles prior to arriving and on leaving. Thanks for a nice stay.

Excellent Stay

We stayed here over new year 2019 - 2020 and had an absolutely fantastic stay. The communication from Andree was second to none and arrived to 4 pints of milk and a treat on the side in the kitchen. The house was spotless throughout and had all the things you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We met Andree during our stay at The Bay and you could see she feel cares about all of her guests and her homes on site. The house is a less than 2 minute walk to all the facilities onsite and approximately 10 - 15 minute walk via the footpath to the beach which our dogs loved. Will 100% rebook this property and recommend anyone of thinking about booking.. Do it, we guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely Family Break

We booked the cottage for 2 nights to allow us to visit family in Filey and celebrate my mums 72nd birthday ! The cottage had everything we could have wanted plus more. It is like home from home. We were left wine, milk and cookies as well as a birthday card for my mum which was so kind. The location is excellent we enjoyed lots of beach walks. The Bay Area is new and beautifully managed. We hope to use the cottage again next year.

Fantastic place

We’ve had a fantastic time at the bay in Filey !! We rented to cottages from andree and from start to finish she made it so easy and was extremely helpful from an early check in to a later check out !! The cottages were spotless and cosy with everything we needed for the kids and our doggies too Wouldn’t hesitate to go back it’s such a family friendly place the kids loved the pool the whole village was clean and welcoming See you again soon

family holiday at Ivy cottage

I've title our stay family holiday as we had 2 adults 12yr old 9 yr old a newborn and a old dog. The owner had thought of everything from baby equipment to family board games and internet to keep our pre teen happy. Definitely home from home. spotless and clean We used all facilities from pub to pool. My boys did like the meals at The plough pub just down the road better then the one site pub think it was more to do with the pool table air hockey table but only 5 mins away. owner Andree and her husband were excellent from helping with the on line booking and emails to actually deliverering a baby chair for me. Loved the personal phone calls and the cookies and welcome pack( even the dog had a welcome pack ) on arrival.. The bay itself was clean andxwee kept plenty of parking and grass the play on or wslk the dog.keep up the good work x

Amazing break

Just returned from a week break and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is fantastically well equipped. Everything you could possibly need for a beach holiday. The location also made it easy to access the surrounding coastal towns via a hop on/ off bus service. We were very lucky as the weather was amazing but we still used the pool and gym facilities which were great too. The on-site pub was nice and had entertainment for the kids each night which was a nice addition. The communication prior the arrival was great and loads of information in the cottage so we knew how to work and find things. An amazing family break, the dogs loved it too!

Brill week

We stayed in ivy cottage week comm 13th July ,the whole experience from start to finish was great.Andree was a fantastic host ,her communication is second to none ,and the little touches like the wine, milk and muffins a brill touch.we have been coming to the bay for the last 6years through various other letting agents but now we have found this little Jems we will be back and have already booked for next year.....home from home and a pleasure to have now found...very happy

Ideal cottage and location

Our stay at Ivy Cottage couldn’t have been nicer. Andree was so helpful before and during our stay and they have thought of everything you could need. This was especially helpful when travelling with 2 small children! The toys in the cottage and the beach paraphernalia were perfect and really thoughtful and anything new is always a win for the children. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and clearly very well looked after which was very welcome after a long drive - as was the bottle of wine and biscuits! The area is stunningly beautiful and The Bay is a great location to explore from. The stroll down to the beach is lovely and the swimming pool was an added bonus. We would definitely consider coming back to stay, we had such a great holiday.

Fantastic little cottage with everything you could need.

The owners thought of everything you would need and it’s there for you. Very clean and nicely decorated cottage - ideal for a family of 4 inc Children. Close to the leisure facilities and parking next door. I have read other reviews regarding property you can book directly with The Bay and I am so glad we chose to book via a private owner. The only reason I am giving this property 4 star is because we found the double bed very firm and I had to get up in the middle of every night and try to sleep on the sofa. This may be suitable for most people but I am used to memory foam at home and my back was killing. If I had slept better I would have definitely offered a 5 star review. It would not put me off staying again though as the Sofa was very comfy :-) We loved the games in the storage stool, there are books, dvds, cds, cards etc. Full kitchen inc washer and dish washer - tablets provided for the dish washer but you need your own laundry soap. Lots of fresh towels, toilet rolls kitchen roll, even food bags for picnics. Thank you for making this property a home from home.

Homely house (100%recommended)

If you looking for a place to stay while you visit York this area is perfect. The bay Filey is only one hour away from the centre of York. The house were we stayed was amazingly clean and comfortable we were very surprised when we got there a bottle of wine was waiting for us 😍 some chocolates fresh milk for a coffee or cup of tea !! I will definitely recommend to anyone.100% family friendly. thanks to the owner Andree Nolan

Great stay

The Bay is a great and very quiet location with lovely walks. Ivy Cottage was a very well equipped and comfortable cottage with lots of thoughtful added extras. A very enjoyable stay and central to lots of places to see.

Really pleasant and well equipped

Property was really comfortable and well equipped. Warmed up easily, which was great as it was freezing weather! Also it was lovely being able to use leisure pool and easily get to nice beach for a walk. Would have liked a map of local area in information box. We looked for one to add to box, but weren't really there long enough to find one. Not really a criticism though, loved our time there!

Gorgeous Place , Amazing Location , instant Relaxation

Just a wonderful relaxing property. Andree does everything to ensure your stay is perfect . Quality and that homely feel Couldn’t recommend highly enough to be honest. Perfect location for Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Fully equipped with everything you could want . We loved it !

Home from home - absolutely gorgeous !!

Stayed for the weekend Friday 19th to Monday 22nd October 2018. Fantastic communication with the owner Andree. Made us feel welcome before we had even stepped through the door. Andree arranged for us to have a 4 pint of milk and a lovely bottle of wine. The lovely touches of the lemon drizzle, loads of towels, toilet rolls, even a lovely shower gel were much appreciated. You only need to bring your towels for the pool. The house is spotless and very stylish. Had everything we needed. We had my 2 year old with us and Andree had thought of everything - the tub of blocks were a god send and Tommy played hours with them. Only a 2 minute walk to the pub and pool which were great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and will be back. Many thanks Steph, Jakki and Tommy x

Great cottage with amazing service

The Ivy cottage was a great place to stay. The cottage was clean and welcoming, The kitchen had everything we needed. It is in a great location with parking close by and plenty of on-site things to do with private access to the beach.. Andree was very polite in all communications and making contact with us over the phone to make sure we had everything we needed added a great personal touch. You can tell the owners take pride in the property and it felt like a family home. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed
