'Bamboo paradiseWe thoroughly enjoyed our week at the House of Bamboo. Simon picked us up from the airport and was kind enough to stop in town so we could pick up some groceries. 'The house and amenities were super clean and functional. Bed is firm and very comfortable. The deck had nice lounge chairs for hanging out. We found the kitchen very well equipped. Loved that the house was uncluttered and spacious feeling! 'Bill and Paula and the whole community were amazingly kind. This was a rustic and genuine experience to be immersed into a warm Fijian community. We should have realized some of the limitations that we would face, (no a/c, limited power supply, steep steps to the main house for meals, etc) traveling with my elderly mother before we booked this, but everyone was kind, thoughtful and welcoming. 'What an amazing place food was terrific, chef Jay was personable, friendly, skilled and accommodating! The staff all had that Fijian charm, and did their job very well!! The location is incredible, and decently placed for activities, I would recommend getting a car if you plan on doing a lot we had one and never had a problem!!'
