'We had a fantastic few days at Shieldhill Farmhouse with our extended family. Everything was clean and tidy and we all felt at home the minute we walked through the door. There were lots of little extra things such as toys for the children, recommendations for restaurants and takeaways, and goodies on arrival which were lovely. It's a big open farmhouse, and Scotland isn't known for it's tropical weather so we were a little chilly (even in August!) but we just popped a jumper and slippers on...

'The room was small but clean and well set out. Our first room was very small but thomas moved us next day to a slightly larger one. Bathroom and kitchen very nice.'

'The hotel is clean and modern. Being able to use the staff kitchen and having food delivered is nice as there is no restaurant. But what really makes this hotel great is the staff. I would’ve given them 6 out of 5 stars if I could, they really are the best.'
