Amazing Stay at Charlotte's Nook

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent the final few days of Christmas break at Charlotte's Nook and had the best time. Our family of ten enjoyed all of the amenities of this home and would be thrilled to return. The top floor bunk room with "Charlotte's Nook" was a huge hit with our children. We cooked almost all of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean and in practically new condition. We used the firepit for s'mores and would love to return during a warmer season to enjoy the many porches more. The location was peaceful and tucked away, yet very convenient to all Carlton Landing has to offer. We hope to return!

Clean, and everything was super nice and cozy. The only thing not wokring was the grill and would suggest getting that in working order for the next quest. Reasonably priced as well. Family already plan next year trip to that specific place to stay!

We liked the location of the property. The link for the map to the property was a bit off but we made it after a few wrong turns. We did like the fact that the yard space allowed for our outdoor games. Since we were there before the main season started, we were confused about the hours of operation for the Meeting House and the pizza place. The only dislike about the house was the spiral staircase. It’s not reasonable to expect certain groups of people to get up and down safely(especially during the night)as there is no restroom on that level. I would also think this beautiful, active community would benefit from tornado sirens. This is my second time to come here and would definitely come back to a different property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great rental in the Carlton Landing community. Nearby Dollar General for anything you forgot to pack. For our group, that was a coffee pot. I misread the listing that only a Keurig is provided, but our large group preferred a traditional pot. Easy fix. Just sharing this for the benefit of others. Plenty to do in this community. Wonderful pools and nearby boat parking for those that bring a boat. DEFINITELY recommend a golf cart rental. We used Dr. Doo's. Pickup was in the community and they were affordable and easy to work with. We enjoyed it! Thank you.

A great house with only a couple of suggested improvements

This community is amazing. There is something for everyone. This house, specifically, was great for our party of 10. The house is tucked back from the main thoroughfares, providing some additional privacy. The layout is thoughtful, with areas both inside and out for entertaining and enjoyment. The upstairs bunk room is perfect for kids to escape to their own space! The master suite and bathroom were spacious and beautiful. The only improvements I would make are not for the home itself, but the amenities provided. For a 4 day stay, there were 6 trash can liners, very little dish soap, 2-3 travel sized shampoos and hand soap dispensers that did not work. As a guest, these seem to be easy amenities to provide. The community is small and homey, and there are no reasonable places to buy these things. While the marina store has some necessities, they are overpriced. Also, the pantry room is locked, I assume for supplies, but for such a large house accommodating many guests, there is no where to keep the food. We enjoyed the community pools, Lake Days park, the marina and boat rentals, and of course, the fact that it was a golf cart community! We were able to bring our own golf cart on the trip, but there are carts available for rent as well. I’d highly recommend this; while getting around in a car is doable, the golf cart is so much easier!There is parking for about 3 vehicles on the property, something to keep in mind if there are a lot of families in the home.

The home was still decorated for Christmas, which was a delightful surprise! The home was very clean. The layout was perfect for 3 couples and 3 kids. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen I have encountered in a VRBO home. There were views of the lake from the balcony, and the front looks out at woods, though I don't know if they will be developed. Highly recommend!
