'At first we were placed in the Calvert House but then switched to the Johnson. The shower plumbing was broken. The shower soap pump did not work. The tub porcelain was chipped and the pillows were very hard. The door did not seal at the bottom and hall light came in. Air conditioning was noisy. I know it is a historic inn but these issues should not have been there. I would not go back.'

I booked the room almost three months prior but on the morning of the check in I got a call saying they no longer had the room I had reserved, but would downsize my room but not receive any compensation. We realized after we got there that they had taken our room to give to a large group of people who had showed up day of and wanted rooms all in a row. Got there and our “new” non smoking room smelled like smoke. We had to wait 30 minutes for them to clean...

I selected this hotel over others in the price range and location because it had a pool and I knew that I would need that to relax after days of physical stress. When I checked in I was informed that the pool was not available this season. I should have spent more and found a place with a pool. I was simply too exhausted.'
