'We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). 'Very walkable. Close to everything. Seemed like a safe neighborhood around the corner from the police station. There was a reserved space but it is not secure parking. My car was fine on the street though. The internet was fiber and super fast. Yhe only thing is the kitchen was not well appointed. No cutting board, knife, etc. Only a couple plates and glasses. Also only one small thin towel for a 10 -day stay. But mostly a great experience.'
