  • 10 Avocet Quay est idéalement situé donnant sur la mer et l'étang d'eau salée à votre porte. Assis sur la table de la terrasse, vous êtes l’endroit idéal pour savourer un verre de vin tout en regardant le coucher de soleil par une chaude soirée d’été ou même par une nuit d’hiver glaciale.



    Spiraling up la colonne centrale de la maison de pont, vous vous trouverez dans un salon confortable, avec cuisine ouverte et salle à manger. Avec le deckhouse soulevé du niveau du sol et avec de grandes fenêtres françaises de tous les angles de la pièce, vous pouvez apercevoir la mer bleue à votre porte. La disposition ouverte rend la maison de pont, légère, aérée et l'espace social parfait pour la famille pour passer du temps ensemble pour leurs vacances.



    La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour cuisiner pendant votre séjour. Il y a beaucoup d'ustensiles de cuisine, ustensiles de cuisine, four avec plaques de cuisson, lave-vaisselle, lave-linge, réfrigérateur, congélateur, grille-pain et bouilloire.



    La maison de pont a deux chambres, une chambre double avec une vue imprenable sur la mer et à travers l'étang et une deuxième chambre avec lit superposé avec lit gigogne en dessous, ce qui est parfait pour les familles ou les couples voyageant ensemble. Entre les deux chambres, il y a une salle de bains familiale avec une douche dans la baignoire.



    Le parking se trouve sous le pont et est particulièrement intéressant pour les amateurs de voile et de sports nautiques. A marée haute, vous trouverez un accès privé à la mer, ainsi qu'un espace de rangement pour les bateaux, planches à voile et jet-skis. Regardez sur la carte adjacente, sélectionnez 'satellite' puis faites un zoom arrière pour voir la rampe de lancement, la proximité de la mer et de la marina. May Holiday

Having seen the photos of this property, we were high with expectations, but were greeted with a tired and well used holiday property. We met with Henry Adam’s Holiday Cottages with our concerns, and they were noted and explained and did offer to help, that said the location is fantastic, and based on this we would recommend this property again. Ps our dog loved it.

2 weeks in October

We had a lovely 2 week stay here in Oct '22. We have stayed in these deck houses a few times and this is a lovely example. Cosy, well equipped with lovely comfy beds and a full size bath! Great location up near the water too with beautiful views of the harbour. Hope to stay again soon. And thanks to the office team too, who were very helpful.

Breathtaking!

This is a rather special and quite unique place to stay. I've long been fascinated by the Deckhouses at Emsworth, houses on stilts overlooking both Thorney island and the harbour. It completely lived up to my expectations! The view from balcony, that runs the full length of the property gives spectacular views, and the most incredible sunsets. It's amazing how much they have managed to fit in. Its comfortable and welcoming and we had a great week. The facilities are excellent so we had a most enjoyable stay. The information and support we received from Henry Adams Holidays was first class, The arrangements over booking, payment and all information required prior to arrival were handled so helpfully and professionally. It ensured that we had an excellent holiday.

Beautiful views and estuary coastal walks right from your doorstep.

Upon booking it's stipulated dogs do not go into the bedrooms and are strictly not allowed onto the furniture, which can make it less relaxing for dog owners, although bringing furniture covers is encouraged. That said, an enjoyable summer stay in an unusual deckhouse, in a gorgeous setting. There were lots of insects outside from the millpond the first night we stayed - but that didn't happen the rest of the stay.

Great location, views and comfortable property.

Overall good but would have preferred to deal ditectly with the property owner to avoid booking fees.Also, left a night light in the property and despite repeated requests for it to be sent back I have had no response from the property manager.

Wonderful relaxing spot for a break

This is our second visit to our Happy Place of Emsworth Marina. It is a haven for peace and quiet with all the nature from the sea and surrounding countryside. The Deckhouse is well equipped and we love the update. The decor is modern with a nod to the 60’s origin very stylish. There is everything you need for a relaxing stay. Sitting on the balcony, one can just take a moment away and just enjoy the views of the harbour and the surroundings, the egrets, herons, and coots. We especially enjoy seeing the baby coots each time. There is everything you need whether cooking together or eating out, the deck house provides all you need to cook and Emsworth provides various excellent eateries. We also enjoy the opportunity to sail and swim just feet from the door. Some lovely walks and opportunities to feed the swans around the harbour and Slipper pond. I am sure we will be back again soon

Wonderful location but...

The situation is wonderful by the side of the harbour with excellent walks and access to pubs and restaurants. The property is attractive and reasonably well-equipped. However we arrived on a very cold Monday afternoon to find the property absolutely freezing. All the electric radiators were turned off. Surely as our arrival time was known it should have been possible to have the heating on? It took a long time to heat the property up. Unfortunately this rather coloured our view of our stay.

Great location

The property was in a fantastic location, with excellent views. The pair of little grebes on the pond were a joy to watch. The property was within easy reach of the town centre, which has much to offer. The property was clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The sofa was not comfortable if you have the slightest back issue (style over function), but we didn't spend that much time on it. We enjoyed the balcony, and peace and quiet of the location. We will be back!

Far exceeded expectations

We loved the bungalow the moment we saw it. Designed in the 1960s thus development of elevated house pods is a real winner. No.10 is in a corner with views both of the pond (it was dried up from the summer heat) and the estuary. We loved waking to the sea views and watching the tide come and go and listening to the birds especially the curlews. Walking down to Thorny Island we watched two barn owls hunting for about 30 minutes....incredible. The house itself is surprisingly spacious and airy and much cosier than the pictures suggest with everything we could need. Emsworth shops are a short and pretty walk away and Portsmouth and Chichester only 20 minutes drive. Fantastic fish to buy in the marina. We can't wait to come back.

Excellent accommodation. Very quiet location with excellent views. We would recommend this to our friends and are considering re-visiting in a year or two. The only improvement that I could suggest concerns the duvets. We were there in warm summer weather but the duvet was a winter duvet. A thinner duvet in the warmer weather would be more comfortable.

Amazing location, wonderful local walks, very comfortable and clean accommodation. You also have everything you need in the kitchen. You might need time to master the heaters if it’s cold and if you park under the accommodation, careful opening your boot! We will be coming back!

Beautiful location and views if a little pricey

stunning location and views and convenient walking distance into emsworth. Nice comfortable property although on closer inspection its a little tired in places. Cleanliness was ok but not perfect- some bits hadn't been dusted in a while - yet ironically we were left with a list of instructions such as to run everything through the dishwasher and strip bedding before leaving. This may well be the agent rather than the owner but still rather cheeky given it's almost average state on arrival. We did as asked and left everything clean but covid compliance isn't a responsibility you can shift to your customers! Also noteworthy that the agents have found the time to send us emails re covid and asked for a review but not yet refunded our £150 damage deposit. Again we have never been asked to pay a hefty damage deposit at other self catering properties we've visited.

We really enjoyed our week here. The views are wonderful and being so close to the shoreline meant we could go kayaking or swimming every day. Lovely walks straight out of the door. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely location and views

The location is lovely. The property is tired and in need of a refurb. The decked balcony was very worn with broken wood and flaky paint. Towel rail in bathroom was loose and no where to hang loo roll?? There was a lot of dust on skirting and doors on arrival. Double bed was not very comfy. The seating in lounge is plastic covered, no cushions so not very comfortable to snuggle up in after a days walking. These are just points to take note of. If you want a quirky, budget property in a fantastic location then it's great! Just be aware that it is not luxurious.

A little slice of Peace

What a great place to base and explore the surroundings of the West Sussex and Hampshire border. A peaceful setting with Swans and their cygnets to wake up to every morning and a fantastic view.
