'I booked this apartment because the description said it was within walking distance of Sandwich town centre, and the map that was displayed prior to booking indicated it was located off Moat Sole in Sandwich town centre. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....

'We were very lucky to get a parking spot as it was just on the road at the front of the building. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the en-suite consisted of toilet and shower only - the wash hand basin was in the bedroom where there were no towel rails. The gentleman who greeted us was excellent as he had to do everything including cooking the breakfasts due to his manager being unwell.'

'Situated very remote but quite and green environment. No tv in the room, every day same breakfast existing out a pre-packed croissant, mango juice, some home made granola and some oat milk. Coffee is available in the room but does not get refilled once used. We stayed 2weeks, during that time the bed linen has not been changed and room is only cleaned once together with towels. Good for short stays… '

'We booked 3 nights at the Pegwell and I would say it’s the best hotel in Ramsgate. From getting a nice early check in, to the delicious breakfast every thing was spot on. The walk into Ramsgate is around 40 minutes and is lovely, we found the location perfect, and very quiet. Highly recommend the hotel and Ramsgate for a weekend break.'

'Great location right on Deal beachfront. We were on the ground floor Addelam Suite. Large room, very comfortable bed, and we had a great night of sleep - no noise from the road / being on the ground floor. Lovely deocration. Plenty of places to eat / grab a coffee nearby.'

'We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.'

'When we arrived to check in the room was not ready. Turns out they were not even aware of our booking until we showed it to them. We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. Waiting outside in the side proved to be a disaster as their outdoor table and chair was covered in a black bitumen type substance that got all over the bottom of my trousers and completely ruined them. 'Great location and has a parking space, main bedroom is very nice but second bedroom is more suitable for children than an adult couple. Kitchen and living room is nice and the host supplied coffee and tea. Thank you!'
