'The Melanesian is a long-standing feature of the Port Vila accommodation scene and it's very well-priced. The Orchid Rooms are very pleasant but they all face onto the pool area. So you will want to have the windows shut if the music played at the bar and people's conversations bother you. The AC unit in my room did an OK job with keeping the room comfortable even with windows shut. The rooms have a good desk and small table for people needing to do work while there. 'Absolutely stunning jungle/ river property, lush and green. The large house is very spacious. It was comfortable in the July weather. Plenty of room and beds for our family of 6. Property is off grid so some issues with hot water that were rectified. We’re told we would have daily house keeping, which didn’t happen once, but we were ok with the washing machine. If we had asked, I’m sure it would have been provided. Accessing the tours and using the river was a highlight for our family. - no fly...

'We were hesitant to book Warwick Le Lagon – Vanuatu after reading some reviews, but it ended up being a fantastic stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming — drinks on arrival and live music set the tone straight away. Rooms were clean and comfortable (our garden view even had a partial lagoon view), and the whole resort felt well maintained. 'Location was good, resort rooms/apartments need work as the are aged and run down, only 1 kayak didn’t leak, no bikes, grounds and pool/deck was good, iguanas are locked in a small cage with nothing and overcrowded (should be at least a small bird aviary with a tree/shrub them in it), food was good, u have to ask for rooms to be serviced (u might get it). We had no water a few times and couple of nights, Beach was good. '

'Hotel has no elevator so need to climb 1 or 2 floors, with luggage if there’s no porter. Location quite near beach cafes and bars. Walking distance to city’s only shopping mall. Hotel rooftop has good view of sunsets. There’s a karaoke room and small coffee cafe in lobby '
