We were not informed that when we arrived at the hotel that we’d have to call for a staff member to let us in. It was -35° when arrived and the front desk attendant just stared at us until after we took out our phone to call the number posted on the door.
Then the same staff member did not inform myself that I needed to pay the deposit still, he just asked for the credit card I used to book the room - I had forgotten after our long drive as we are from out of town, over 300km drive on ice roads- card declined he tells me and I asked why he was trying to make a payment as the room was already paid for, oh for the deposit, should of told me firsthand and I would of made sure that card had the funds. I’ve always been informed FIRST that the deposit needed to be paid or would be put on my credit card. Cleared that up and said next time tell the customer what you are doing with their credit card.
Also there was ZERO parking for our lifted pickup.
I won’t be staying here again.
