Blokhutten in Edisto Island

'To be new, it didn’t feel that way. Our room was not very clean. Shower had mildew on shower curtain, dirt and buildup around the room, unfinished/not finished properly areas of the room(walls, around light switches, bathroom counter). It was an okay stay but I did expect more/better from a new Marriott.'

'I would stay here again and again. I love the ambiance and charm of the historic home which still shines through along side the luxurious updates in the beautiful bathroom, soft rugs, comfy bed. They have thought of everything and provided a beautiful space to enjoy it in. Games, toiletries, coffee, water, an honor wine bar upstairs. I cannot wait to go back. 'Our room wasn't cleaned, the beds were possibly made (couldn't tell for sure) but there were crumbs and garbage from the previous occupants in several places. The bathroom had clumps of hair in corners that had been there for some time. All appliances had caked up dust on them so the room hadn't been cleaned properly in ages.
