We're located at the end of a short road with a long, private driveway and no other neighbors in sight. Though there is the Orcas Island Golf Course and a small neighborhood nearby, our seven acres is pristine and quiet. You are set apart with minimal noise and no intrusions.

Located in the center of Orcas Island, this is a great place for exploring all that the island has to offer. Whether you are jumping on the ferry to experience other islands, or heading to one of the many parks for hiking and kayaking, you are a short drive away. Restaurants and shops are a five minute drive to town, so going out for a special meal is easy.

You have full and private use of Dragonfly Pond home and the seven acres surrounding it. There is a digital keypad code for the front door that you'll receive three days before your arrival. You can share this code with your friends and family for easy access during your stay.

There is a barn located near the parking area that is not part of the rental. It is private and held for the owners. We ask that you please respect the building and locks.

There is a large parking area for two to three vehicles.

Living Area
Light filled and open with high ceilings, the main living space overlooks the tranquil pond through large south facing windows. Comfortable seating creates an inviting place to relax after a day exploring Orcas Island. The layout flows seamlessly into the dining area and kitchen so everyone can stay connected while enjoying the peaceful forest setting.

Kitchen
One of the joys of staying at Dragonfly Pond is cooking in a fully functional kitchen designed for real meals. You will find a full oven and range, microwave in the pantry, blender, toaster, French press, coffee grinder, and electric coffeemaker. Generous cookware, utensils, and pantry staples make preparing vacation meals easy and enjoyable. A gas grill sits just outside the kitchen door for outdoor cooking.

Located just off the dining room, this third bedroom includes a queen bed in a cozy enclosed space. It is partially separated with louver doors, offering comfort and privacy while maintaining the home’s open feel. This is a tiny room with a dresser and luggage rack for unpacking.

We highly recommend bringing your own vehicle or renting a car once you arrive via ferry. While Orcas Island is walkable in some areas, many of the island’s most scenic spots—like Moran State Park, Cascade Lake, and Turtleback Mountain—are best reached by car.

Additional Tip: Be sure to book your rental in advance, especially during peak travel seasons, as availability can be limited on the island.


ROKU TV: Included is "Sling Free," or please bring your own Netflix/Hulu/Prime passwords for viewing your favorite shows and movies.

Bluetooth Speaker: There is a bluetooth speaker in the living room for streaming your favorite playlists.

Heat and Cooling: The house is heated with electricity. You'll find digital thermostats in each room that you can adjust. There is no air conditioning, but each room has a quiet fan for summer months. We encourage you to open the screened windows for cross-breezes off the cool pond water.

Woodburning Fireplace: Unfortunately, the woodburning fireplace is not available.

The Pond: Though its beautiful to look at, we don't recommend swimming. It has a murky bottom and is a haven for wildlife. Please supervise children for their safety.

You are welcome to charge your EV car from our 110v outlet on the side of the house. You need to bring your own extension cord and converter.

Please make sure to check the home carefully before checkout. Any personal items left behind may be returned upon request; however, a minimum $25 handling fee plus the cost of postage will apply. This fee covers the time required to locate, package, and coordinate the shipment of the item.

We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during transit.

Pet Policy
No cats
If you bring a dog:

*The non-refundable pet fee is $150 per visit for dogs.
*NO dogs UPSTAIRS.
*Nails must be freshly trimmed to be kind to the wood floors :)
*No dogs on furniture
*No dogs on beds (we provide a dog bed or even better, bring your dog's bed so they feel familiar with the smells)
*Dogs must not be left alone in the house.
*We have a crate for night time use. It's located on the porch. ( 48"L x 30"W x 33"H metal crate)
*Limit of 2 dogs or 3 small (under 15lb.) dogs
*Please do not bathe dogs in showers/tubs...if needed, use hose and hydrant in yard.
*Dogs must be leashed per San Juan County leash law.
