'I booked this room for location, price on a last minute price/availability needed stay, and after reading reviews that were positive. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what the positive reviews were based on. If it was on the bed alone, I agree, it was a clean place for me to lay my head for 7 hours. But the entire hotel was old, the rooms are in desperate need of repairs and cleaning. The bathroom ceiling was full of black mold. And for a non-smoking hotel, the hallways all reeked of cigarette smoke....

'This was my 3rd stay in this hotel. Each time it has been clean, terrific staff, great breakfast, nice beds etc. This is the best hotel in St.Charles. Also great area to walk to shopping.'

Con: On several occasions we hard a dog barking and people talking in the hall. We had the breakfast buffet and it was NOT worth it for the money you pay. It was almost $30.00 for two of us.
