'Weekend started off rough! After traveling nearly 5 hours for a much needed weekend, my husband and I arrived (approximately 1 hour after check in time) to a dirty cabin. Our plans were to rest for a bit after traveling, shower and clean up before going out to eat for the evening. 'Arrived at cabin and struggled with online checking because of remoteness, perhaps a warning to check in while still in civilization. Hot tub, central reason for choosing the rental was out of order. Without it, the rental is just a motel 6 in the sticks with poor wifi. 2 hours after arrival the power fails to much of of the cabin, including heat, it was 25 degrees outside. 'First off, this is a very romantic setting, and was a perfect spot to celebrate our 36th anniversary. Pictures can't capture the beautiful use of cedar wood throughout the cabin, which extended from the carpentry to the countertops to the furniture.
