'MOLD AND FUNGUS! The pool area was absolutely disgusting! Mold growing on the tile floors all around the hot tub and black mold on the ceilings. There was also a disgusting thick orange/brown fungus or something growing on the walls and chunks were falling off onto the floors. I spoke to a women at the desk and explained this is horrendous and I chose this hotel because it offered a pool and hot tub. I showed her the pictures and she asked me to send an email explaining all this so she could...

'Host was very quick to reply to any questions. House is beautiful, and in a great area with easy access to Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. We will stay here again when we find time to go back and finish the site seeing we didn't get to do during this initial visit. '

'This is a small cabin located down a slight hill from the owner's house. They did a wonderful job of clearing out trails behind the property throughout the woods, between cabin and the road. The town of Chappaqua is beautiful and located close by, with any amenities you may need. The cabin is modified from an old stone and log structure and had all the basics you will need for a rustic retreat. Joanne was very friendly and seems to genuinely enjoy seeing guests have a pleasant stay.'

'The layout is great: location and facilities, especially breakfast, is top-shelf. The rooms are more than tired, they are worn and decayed. Furniture works but is archaic. Bathroom fixtures are not designed for an adult. For example, the toilet is too low for an adult. Bathroom sink was cracked. Caulking on tile was missing. Staff is outstanding: polite and helpful. '
