'Absolutely wonderful. Admittedly, the houses are ultra tiny - but that’s a known feeling from camping. Still, it was possible to store four large suitcases. (I was worried about this before arrival.) It’s wonderfully peaceful, just pleasant. Absolutely worth a visit.'

'We had a lovely and peaceful couple of nights here as a short break. The host is wonderful, and left welcome treats and supplies which were very much appreciated! The property is spacious , in a quiet cul-de-sac and very comfortable. A true home from home - outstanding. Also plenty of great things to do and see in the surrounding area on foot and by car. We will look forward to a return visit! '

Bars, shops, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. Apartment has everything you need. A basket full of local goodies was a particularly welcoming gesture.'

'We had a great stay. The cottage had everything we needed, plus the lovely view. Findochty is a very photogenic village, so I was out and about taking photos at all hours! On our arrival we were welcomed by dolphins frolicking in the sea in front of the cottage. The evening before our departure we were treated to the sight of a pod of orcas cruising past, quite close to the shore. '

The accommodation on the website says shared bathrooms- not something we really wanted but nevertheless it turned out that we had a room with our own toilet and wash basin. "The hotel was superb! We had one of the whiskysuites. Very nice and cosy room. Superfriendly staff and the breakfast was amazing. Car park opposite to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to every especially when you like drinking whiskey. They have an amazing whisky bar !"
