'Close to city centre. The room that we were assigned smelled strongly of some kind of air freshener. So strong that I was getting a headache. After notifying them we were given a room that had nearly no air freshener.'

'The room was ok after 3 moves. Had to find a room with A/C that was tolerable noise. There was street construction right outside the window that started at 0700, not a great way to wake up Sunday morning. Other than that, the staff was helpful and the room was clean.'

'The bed was uncomfortable again, second time here, tried a kingsize bed for a better bed but it was just as hard and lumpy as the last time I stayed in a double queen room.'

'Beautiful heritage building with very comfortable beds, bright cozy bedding. The set up is almost Hostel like in that there is a common area with couches, table and chairs and simple kitchen and then each bedroom has its own bathroom. The townsfolk and shop owners were very friendly. We also enjoyed Shirley at the museum who was very helpful and knowledgeable! The stunning location was the icing on the cake!'

'This property needs a major renovation. Stained carpets, peeling wood on doors and cabinets, ancient bathroom fixtures, problematic plumbing, weak and flimsy locks. The cleaning staff do their best, but there is only so much they can do for this decaying property. My advice: book early and stay elsewhere. I would have stayed elsewhere but I had to go last minute and other reasonable hotels were fully booked.'

'The place is a dump. Maintenance is decades behind, hallway carpet is filthy, bathtub is grubby. When told that the outlet in the bathroom doesn’t work, we were told that we would have to change rooms. When we returned at the end of the day and housekeeping had “forgotten “ our room, the person at the desk said they couldn’t do anything, but did offer us clean towels. Did not see any other guests. 'Staff were very helpful and responsive to our requests. The recommended pub next door had great food. We appreciated the Continental breakfast with enough options to get us started. Some points of interest were close by and walkable. This hotel also offered shuttle service to the airport which would have been helpful if we had needed it. Our stay was comfortable and we felt it had good value.'
