'We had a lovely overnight stay at Hex. We had a resort-side room and it was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. It was so nice to wake up and see the bush-dogs, tapirs and maned wolf from our window! Breakfast is great too, with good veggie and meat choices on the buffet. Staff are friendly and attentive. Overall I think it’s good value and we’d happily come back.'

'Plenty and easy parking. When I entered the bar, I was confronted with Theakstone's on draught, real ale, which is one of my all time favourites (only temporarily available) so I knew that my stay was going to be excellent. Nice food, very friendly staff and nice breakfast. It was my first stay, but hopefully not my last. My routing when travelling in the UK varies, but I hope I can include the Forest Lodge in my future travel plans. It would be worth driving a bit extra to arrive here. '
