'This is the 3rd time that I am returning to Halcyon. It really is the best hotel on Mawella beach (and maybe even in whole of southern province :) The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff are super friendly, including owner Xander, it's absolutely right on the beach , the food is great. What more to say, it's a little peace of heaven :) '

'We spent 3 days at this fabulous property. We loved the location - the sea was perfect for swimming and the pool was nice too. In front of the beach is a lovely lawned area with trees which is perfect for those of us who like a bit of shade. The rooms were large (we had a sea view room) and well equipped. You should be prepared to be self sufficient - the staff are inexperienced and shy so aren’t proactive in clearing tables or offering drinks - they prefer to hide inside. You have to ask...

'Kamer met uitzicht op zee geboekt en meer voor betaald. Helaas geen zee te zien vanaf zowel het balkon als door de ramen. Airco functioneerde niet voldoende en lekte zowel in de kamer als op het balkon. Badkamer ruikt niet fris en komt zeer weinig water uit de douche. Verder wel schone nette kamer. Goede grote handoeken. Volgende keer zou ik toch een ander verblijf boeken. '
