Another great area of Tasmania to visit is Mt Field National Park, it's about an hour drive out of Hobart and where you will find two of the most beautiful waterfalls in Tasmania. Russell Falls is actually more popular out of the two waterfalls however if you continue a short distance further along the same walking track you will reach Horseshoe Falls which is my favourite, the scenery along the way through the tall swamp gum forest, massive tree ferns and moss covered undergrowth is beautiful.
Both waterfalls look impressive after a lot of rainfall and as luck would have it there was plenty of rainfall prior to our visit. As you can see there was no shortage of flowing water and it was so nice to stop here and just take in the spectacular beauty of the place. #green

« Highly recommend Channel Cabin if you are planning a day trip to Bruny Island. It is just a short drive away from the ferry in Kettering. The boat cruise from Adventure Bay was the highlight of our trip!The cabin was very clean and cosy. The heat pump was sufficient to heat the whole cabin. « Fantastic location, lovely spacious apartment, good air conditioning. Very happy with it.The only problem was that I found the keysafe very hard to open. I couldn’t open it, but luckily my sister was with me and was able to.When I checked out, I also had trouble and gave up and was about to ring the contact number, but tried again - and it worked first time. I have no idea what I did differently. »
