'Fine modernised hotel at walking distance from the citycenter but somewhat isolated near the harbour. Fine service, well trained staff, good breakfast. Less than 10 minutes from the ferry to Digby which was very convenient given the rather early daily departure.'

'The hotel is absolutely lovely. The staff is exceptional but there is an issue and I see I am not the first person with this issue. I booked in May 2026 with Expedia. I booked a premier room with bayviews and a fireplace for August 2026. According to the site, all the premiere rooms are located on the second floor or the main inn. When I got there I was given a room in the annex with bayviews ( as it was on the ground floor it was more views of the parking lot and glimpses of the water...

'Nous avions réservé cet hébergement notamment cause de la glissade en tube à la piscine. Elle a fait la joie des enfants pendant de longues heures, surtout que les activités à St-John sont un peu limitées. Il y a une buanderie sur place mais avec un seul couple de machine ce qui rend le tout fastidieux et long quand plusieurs personnes souhaitent s'en servir. Les petit-déjeuner inclus sont bons et assez variés mais il manquait de fruits.'

'Er wordt ontbijt aangeboden, meer een Canadees ontbijt. Jammer van plastic bestek met uiteraard de wegwerpcups. Direct aan een drukke weg, wat in de nacht zeker meevalt. De kamer is gigantisch groot. Ontbijt in een weekend of fst dag kun je niet gebruiken als je met de ferry van 8.00 gaat, omdat je 1 uur tevoren daar moet zijn. Het ontbijt is dan niet om 6, maar vanaf 7 beschikbaar. '

'Not clean. Room was okay. Hallways smelt like a hospital. Incredibly noisy early in the morning. Staff vacuuming outside room very early. Would not recommend.'

'This was a fantastic property that we enjoyed 4 nights at. The dinners by the red seal chefs were absolutely amazing! I never went to breakfast but my husband brought me a lovely take out box made by the staff with a pleasant hand written message on it each morning. We could hear the ocean waves from our room as we were steps from the beach. We ate so much sea food that we almost grew fins before we left! The owners were extremely personable and you would see them behind the desk, walking you...

'Good location but something to keep in mind is there’s no A/C just a ceiling fan and lots of windows. My stay was good because the weather was nice and cool.'
