But the best part is the proximity to the beach - just steps away. Bonfires, swimming, sunsets - what more can you ask for. The owner was super accessible and happy to answer questions. 'The house was a perfect getaway. It's a super quiet and peaceful area. My favorite part was having my coffee on the beach every morning. The house itself is a little outdated but everything is fully functional. There's enough space for everyone to stay comfortably and not be on top of each other. We were able to be secluded in a bedroom if needed and all hangout together in the livong spaces when we wanted to. I especially loved the locking gate on the deck stairs so we could hangout on the deck...

'This cottage was the perfect location in downtown Empire with walking distance to the Friendly and the Empire Beach! We loved the fenced in back yard for fires with our pup. The perfect place for a long weekend!'

'Great house, very cozy for our family of five plus dog. House has everything we needed to cook our own meals and is not far from town. Tons of books, puzzles, and other games for around there. Close enough to town to easily do things, but far enough to be quiet. Tim was a great host. Very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. Would stay again!'

'We had a gathering with ten people. All our adult children and their loved ones slept in the loft upstairs ( twin beds with trundles) and one double. It was like camp:)! They had a bathroom up there as well. My husband and I stayed on main floor and there is a bathroom on that floor also. We had an amazing time.
