'Loved the location- northern end and more residential. Was very relaxing and peaceful. Felt like we had a private beach. Restaurant was excellent. Super friendly staff. Live music every night. Room needs improvements- could hardly open the sliding glass door to balcony and fridge didn't cool correctly- plus it was wobbly. I ended up putting cardboard under one of the feet to keep it stable. Lampshade on desk moved when you turned it on- i turned the knob where it connected to lamp- just needed...

'First time staying here and am so glad we stayed on this end of the boardwalk. While only a quick trip for the Jelly Roll concert, we enjoyed the 2 days there! Hotel was beautiful, conveniently located and the rooms are the perfect size and super clean. You're right near Pocahontas Pancake (totally worth the wait, too!), Mellow Mushroom, Ben & Jerry's. 'I wasn't happy with the service; we had booked a room with an ocean view, but there was only one woman at the front desk handling a huge crowd. She left me standing there waiting while she tried to attend to everyone else and me at the same time. On top of that, there were no extra towels or toilet paper, and there were bugs—specifically bedbugs. They really need to fumigate, as it’s dangerous when you have children with you. I hope they take this feedback into account.'

'This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view...

'Although the pictures online looked good, the place was a dive. The front office guy (when he finally showed up) was helpful and nice. The room was questionably clean, everything was run down, water running in the bathtub/shower, hole in the wall, etc. It was on the beach at the boardwalk which we wanted, but we won't stay here again.'
