'Property is extremely worn and requires maintenance. The lobby smells nice, but once you leave it, it feels like you're at the sewer. Granted, the rooms were relatively ok, but it couldn't escape the wear from how old the hotel is. The entrance parking lot reeks of garbage from the nearby trash cans. The hallways and rooms smell atrocious. Wish they could at least try to implement some scents to ward off the odor. You can tell that the carpets have seen some things with the smell.'

'This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. 'This was the absolute worst experience we have ever had. By phone when we requested an early check-in, we were told to simply check in at the front desk when we arrived & they would prioritize our check-in and we could start using the amenities. We arrived at 1:00 & promptly did as we had been instructed & were told it wouldn't be long. We received a text from the hotel letting us know we would be texted when it was ready.
