'Love this new spot in Hood River! They were less than two months old when I stayed, so they were still working on some things, but nothing too annoying. The lobby/bar/basecamp were very nice. Lots of options for seating and lounging. As other reviews mentioned, the rooms are quite small, but the common areas made up for it. And it was still enough space to lounge and watch TV. 'Staff are so good -- always genuinely welcoming and professional. The rooms and amenities are great -- love the indoor pool (wish there was a hot tub available). Breakfast is always wonderful. Such a restful location. We prefer the river side of the building, but all the rooms are good.'

'I had a great stay. Decided to drive to Washington for Mt. Rainier because the weather was so nice and clear. Asked the front desk if I could leave a day earlier and they were very cooperative. Don’t know her name, but very nice lady at the frontdesk. '

'The trails close by are perfct to go on with my kids. They can be kind of steep so be prepared to carry the little ones at times. The kitchen has all the utensils needed to cook. Its a small and cozy lodge with plenty of space for large groups. The Tavern has some really good dining options with friendly staff. '

Even walked me down to the cabin to show the way in the dark. Room was immaculate and beautifully done and very comfortable. Would stay here anytime when within the area. Good location and convenient to attractions, dining, and all basic staples.'
