« IF YOUR A THINKING OF RENTING THIS CABIN, DONT. READ THESE REVIEWS. THIS HOST TRIED TO CHANGE LOCATIONS ON US TO HIS HOUSE THE NIGHT BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF OUR STAY, WHEN WE REFUSED TO STAY IN HIS HOUSE, HE LIED AND TOLD VRBO THAT HE NO LONGER FELT SAFE AND CANCELED OUR RESERVATION RESULTING IN A LOSS OF OUR MONEY. WE ARE THE ONES WHO NO LONGER FELT SAFE AND IM SURE HE WILL MAKE SOME SMART COMMENT ABOUT ME, FOR THIS REVIEW. THE LANGUAGE BARRIER WAS A CHALLENGE IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN. JUST...

« This unit had a better kitchen than one I had previously stayed in. It had a medium-sized refrigerator/ freezer. There is a great grocery store with reasonable prices just down the hill, Lynns Dakota Mart. The Mickelson Trail and a small Park are easily accessed a few blocks away. »

« It took a couple days to adjust to the change in view from our favorite spot on the back porch, not to mention the sounds of construction on Christmas Eve as the monstrosity of a home being built against the mesa continued. Our favorite spot at the Getaway is now much different as the peaceful seclusion we once experienced is now property tainted by money. »

« Everything was clean and well organized. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. The remotes for the TV were underneath the TV in their homes. It was a pleasant place to stay. We will definitely consider it the next time we are staying in the Black Hills »
