'The Hotel Appenzell is absolutely charming! The central location on the plaza is excellent, with a view to activities going on in town. It's conveniently right next to the Tourist Info center. The staff was cheerful and helpful. They responded promptly to requests, such as for a fan in our room. The room was delightful. It was bigger than other rooms we stayed in in Switzerland, and it was decorated in a charming, white and gold french style, with crystal ceiling lights, and big windows...

'Een verdieping van een authentieke zwitserse boerderij net buiten Appenzell. Netjes en verzorgd, keurig schoon en hygienisch. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars, die ten alle tijde klaar staan om te helpen, maar toch de privacy in acht nemen. Zeer prettige verblijfplaats met een schitterend uitzicht op het Alpstein-massief. Alleen dit uitzicht ‘s ochtends bij het open doen van de gordijnen is al een reden om hier te gaan slapen.'
