Miserable experience with Vacasa
When we arrived at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, and entered the unit, it was very hot and uncomfortable. The thermostat did not work at all … nothing appeared on the thermostat display.We ended up having to spend more money the stay in a hotel Thursday and Friday nights, it was so hot in this unit.And I tried to resolve the issue. Over two days, I texted 7 times with no resolution. I also called on Friday morning, and someone said they would let the local property manager know.Only because I got lucky and saw a person leaving a vehicle marked Vacasa in the parking lot later Friday morning did we get some resolution. This Vacasa employee had no idea the air conditioning did not work so he called his supervisor. The supervisor asked “Is A1 our unit?” Clearly, Vacasa needs to work on everyone’s communication skills.A couple of hours later an AC repairman came to fix the air conditioning and said that the AC in the two units above us was not working either. The repairman also said that he was on the property Friday night and would have fixed our AC if he had been aware of the issue.The unit was still too warm to sleep in on Friday night.I cannot in good conscious recommend using Vacasa ever again. While I was able to reach someone by text and by phone, they simply said they’d pass along the message … and then we heard nothing.Other issues: ants in the bathroom, and one of the toilets was unusable because the toilet bowl would not refill.
