'We flew into Deer Lake and stayed at this hotel for one night prior to carrying on to Gros Morne. This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The beds were so comfortable, the pillows were perfect! It was quiet even with our room across from the elevator. The breakfast in the morning was complimentary and had a lot of options! But the freshly baked cookies were definitely our favourites! They were putting in new carpets in the hallways, but the work finished at a respectable time so didn’t affect...

'Such a great place. Too bad we were not able to stay long. There is a shared bathroom, that was very clean. They offer a breakfast, which was probably outstanding with all their fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs - yes they have chickens, geese, lambs and vegetable gardens and strawberries growing there. However, we had to leave early to catch the ferry and we’re still offered a great continental breakfast. Such a refreshing and relaxing place to stay. A glimpse of living close to the land. They...

'The location on the banks of the Humber River at Steady Brook is a beautiful natural wonder. The dining options on Sunday and Monday are non-existent, but we picked up some prepared foods and sat in the breakfast room on Monday., which was the only meal which we needed to have on-site. The value compares well with hotels in Corner Brook. We had access to a vehicle which is essential for this property.'
